The rooms have been fitted with triple glazed windows since our last visit many years ago (when the train noise was quite loud): the noise level is now very low. The room was comfortable and met all our requirements. The staff were particularly helpful when we were making a fresh booking for Mercure Poitiers and we would give them a...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while on a coach trip. The railway line ran behind the hotel but the sound of trains did not intrude at all. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot though I felt a trifle unsafe when climbing into the bath. Breakfast offered a good and plentiful variety of food...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Bordeaux. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room on the first floor was comfortable and well appointed. Within easy walking distance of the sights and restaurants etc. Will definitely stay again next time we pass through Tours and will use the Mercure brand elsewhere in France when...

Good hotel in very convenient location, Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Very safe car-park under the hotel, though you need instructions as to how to get into it! Larger rooms are on the first floor which is a pity as rooms on the higher floors are nicer. Prefer rooms facing the road rather than the station.

Do not let the shabby exterior fool you. Inside there is a lovely Ibis hotel. I moved house from the budget hotel, for the fact that I needed another night in the city and the budget hotel was fully booked. Room rates in this hotel are about double, but if offers more amenities and much better device. The staff is...

Reasonable hotel, comfortable. we didn't have the issues reported by other travellers, the AirCon worked wonderfully (It was 39c when we were there) Convenient for the center of Tours. Staff are friendly and helpful and my wife was pleased that they were able to offer her plenty of gluten free options for breakfast.

This hotel is so old and tired, the room was like a throw back to the 1970s complete with brown and orange carpet and light fittings falling off the wall. There is no air conditioning and we found the staff aloof and unfriendly. There are plenty of hotels in Tours, I'd recommend staying in the Ibis over the road for...

The irony of this hotel is it is next door to an ibis budget, both hotels are in the same group. The mercure is one of the worst hotels I have been in for some time. The one issue above all is the total lack of air con, there is a pitiful wheezing unit in the bedroom that is valiantly...

I'm not too sure where Mercure get their ratings from but there was a serious lack of facilities at this hotel. Our aircon didn't work there is no vending machine for drinks etc or ice. Every time I asked the front desk they were exceptional in attending to any request and very helpful. On a plus note for the building...

Lovely friendly hotel, staff very pleasant receptionists speak English. Emily was superb at her job. Next to train station but good sound proof Windows. Cafe restaurant 5 mins away, but if you walk down to macdonalds then take the round on the right (10 mins walk) you walk to lovely French cafes and restaurants with fantastic menus. Walk down to...
