We stayed 6 nights at Hotel La Comtesse in 2 communicating rooms (family of 4 traveling with children). I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and staff. Paul especially went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of, even when both my children and husband came down with a stomach virus. His attention to detail and genuine interest and concern in/for the wellbeing of our children was unparalleled. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for the kids. His friendly and helpful demeanor helped put us at ease despite us having to spend half our trip in our room with sick kids.
Now for the hotel: Clean, comfortable, with a great location close to the metro, restaurants, corner store, laundry, currency exchange, etc. And the view was spectacular! I would definitely stay here on our next trip to Paris and recommend it to anyone traveling to the city of lights!

The rooms are quaint and accommodated all our needs. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I loved the little extra comfort of the coffee machine. It was a delight to sit outside the balcony and drink an espresso while taking in the beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. Every staff member from the front desk staff/Concierge to the housekeeping were extremely helpful and professional. Hotel La Comtesse is also located within walking distance to great restaurants and public transportation. I loved our stay and can't wait to return.

We just had to write a review after we got engaged at this hotel during our recent stay (Thursday 11 August to Saturday 13 August). I had been planning our surprise trip to Paris for a couple of months and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful as the whole experience was one that we will never forget. Not only was the room prepared with champagne and flowers, the staff were fantastic to welcome us to the hotel and they played along with the surprise when needed. The room itself (605) was a dream. We have never stayed in a room with a better view - seeing the Eiffel Tower day and night was truly amazing - from the balcony and even from the shower! The hotel clearly made every effort to put us in a great room to make the proposal a special occasion and it was really appreciated. The location of the hotel is fantastic with a short walk to the Eiffel Tower and access to the local metro service, there are also some great restaurants nearby. We will definitely be returning here to relive the amazing memories at Hotel La Comtesse.

This review addresses the horrible treatment of our family by the hotel management. During our trip, we stayed in many hotels, but we have never faced such rude behavior. We had booked a room with 3 beds for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 12 and 4) for 2 nights. However, at check-in, they informed us that the room was not designed for more than 3 people according to the city fire code. To resolve this, they offered to add another room for an additional $180.
The following day, as we were preparing to leave in the morning, the manager approached us and surprised us by saying that the extra room was only available for 1 night. In front of other guests checking in, he started raising his voice with unjustified anger, as if he was doing us a favor and was unhappy with our lack of gratitude. We requested to speak in private at the back of the reception area and explained that the receptionist did not mention the solution was for one night only. However, the manager dismissively said the past is past, and now we had to find another hotel, especially on Bastille day when everything was sold out.
Despite our disappointment, when we asked for a refund, the manager refused to return the $600 per night we had paid. We pointed out that he offered the extra room the previous night only because it was already 7 pm, and they knew the room would otherwise go unsold. In response, he claimed he had no time for us and continued raising his voice, asserting that they were a boutique hotel, and we should be grateful not to have been kicked out without a refund. Shockingly, he even threatened to monitor our movements and deny us entry if we exceeded the occupancy limit of 3 people.
This entire experience was incredibly distressing, and we felt humiliated by the manager's unprofessional conduct and threats. We strongly advise against staying at this hotel and hope that our feedback will prompt improvements in their treatment of guests.

I have traveled to 40 different countries and 100's of hotels and this was the worst experience I have ever had. I tried checking in and was immediately told they could not find my reservation. Even after I showed the confirmation from their website they said they do not have a reservation and it is not their fault.
Clearly they were overbooked and gave my room to someone who paid more and bumped me. I would have apprecaited them telling me that instead they made it seem like my fault. They put me up at an inadequate hotel (No eifel tower view) and told me they are sorry for the inconvenience and offered free breakfast. When my family and I showed up for breakfast they had no idea what we were talking about and gave me and my elederly parents a hard time. Once again I am the bad guy here. Finally he relented and we proceeded to breakfast only to have the breakfast lady yell at us that we are stealing breakfast.
I NEVER write reviews but felt compelled here. The treatment was horrible and I strongly urge all to avoid this place.

Dear Richard, We did not, as you are saying, overbook our capacity, we NEVER allow overbooking in our property, this is not in our practices. What happened was a technical issue apparently, which we do not have a hand on. As a matter of fact, we found you a place to stay in hotel that is slightly more expensive than us (but for the same price that you had booked though), and we did offer you the breakfasts for your entire stay in Paris. We are sorry you had a bad time but once again we tried our best to come up with a solution to your issue, and it appears this was not enough for you... Daniel

We wanted to stay in a hotel close the city centre and this was the perfect location. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, clean hotel room with daily housekeeping and Wifi Access. Our room had a side view of the Eiffel Tower and within a 5/10 minute walk you are right next to it! It has a pharmacy and a few lovely restaurants right outside and Ecole Militare metro station round the corner. I had the small €10 breakfast which included coffee or tea, 3 mini pastries and orange juice but there was a more expensive option which offered a range of egg and other hot food. If we come back to Paris we will definitely be staying here again, I would recommend to everyone.

We selected a room with a view of the tower and we were not disappointed! The windows opened and we could lean out and look just to the left and had amazing tower views! It was also a great location - just a short walk to many tourist attractions. We traveled as a family of 4 and we were given 2 adjoining rooms for an excellent price. The rooms were a bit small, but so clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. I highly recommend.

We went to Paris for our25th wedding anniversary. Everything was as well as could be expected. Service was excellent. Friendly and helpful all the time. Room was bright and clean and our room( 306) had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately cafe was only open for breakfast being august is a holiday month for parisions but that was perfect because la comtesses location is central to plenty of dining and small deli type markets. Again the hotel service was so good we ended up taking photos with most of staff there. There’s more I could say how nice our stay was but I think you get the picture.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel. We absolutely loved our stay - our room was impeccably clean, the concierge and front desk was friendly and helpful, and the views of the Eiffel Tower from our window weren’t bad either. The location was absolutely perfect for us - so close to the 8 Metro and 92 bus stop, and less than a 15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. Also, a 5 min walk to Rue Cler Market street with a ton of restaurants and boulangeries which we would recommend stopping by and exploring. Overall, we would highly recommend La Comtesse and plan to come back as soon as possible!!

Travelled to Paris for the 2024 Olympics and was looking for a safe area and hotel as I was travelling alone with a young child. This hotel exceeded all expectations, from arrival, Paul on reception welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. Then of course there are the views, what a fully immersive experience that was, just as breathtakingly beautiful when the Eiffel Tower is lit up as it is when the evening sun is setting . Having a room that had windows on each side of the hotel allowed us to fully absorb the beautiful Paris atmosphere and scenery. The breakfast and room service was outstanding, the service given was 5 star from every single staff member.
In terms of area, you could not ask for better, short accessible walk to the Eiffel Tower, boat trips on the Seine, 2 minutes from Ecole Militaire Metro, we walked alone at night and felt completely safe, restaurants and very well stocked supermarkets on the doorstep. Due to our budget and room availability, we hotel hopped one night and were welcomed back the next day as if we had never left. We simply cannot wait to return, thank you for giving us the trip of a lifetime.
