I stayed in a triple room with private bathroom on the 5th floor, in the room 507. We were 2 adults and one teenager. I already knew that there was no elevator but when you do 20km/30km per day it's really difficult. The room was smelly, the beds were dirty, the room is so crooked that if you leave something...

It was my first time arriving in Paris with my husband and my mother-in-law for a 2 night-3 day trip in town. My husband booked the hostel, as he was more the traveler than I am. We arrived in Paris late in the afternoon, took the train from the airport, to look for this hostel. It was a lot of...

After travelling the entire month and seeing all the hostels and hotels we stayed in throughout Europe, (approx 15), this Hostel was one of our Top 3! The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Very easy access between 2 Metro Stations. A Couple of shops close by to do grocery shopping etc. if needed. Very Close to the...

Would not recommend this 'hotel', it's more like a hostel. Arrived in our room, was clean but the bathroom had ants. Myself and 3 friends were staying for 3 nights and on the second night as we were all chatting on the beds before we went to bed, a mouse ran under the gap of our door, and with our...

Trying to find this little Hostel was a little difficult at first but once we found it, we were fine for the rest of our trip. The staff were very friendly and spoke really good English and were very helpful in terms of telling us how to get to tourist sites in Paris from our Hostel. Only issue was that...

No lift/elevator means a long and winding climb for you and your luggage. We were on the fourth floor. Reception is on the first floor. Room very basic with uneven floor. Bathroom ok - clean. We had a quadruple room - there was no spare space. The hotel has no air conditioning and is not in the nicest part of...

The lady at the front desk was super helpful and friendly, really went above and beyond. She also hooked us up with parking around the corner for only 20 Euro. We had a room with 3 single beds, and our own little bathroom. The room appeared clean, and it had a flat screen TV. Some of the power outlets did...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
