The Ritz Paris garners praise for its exceptional cleanliness, with many travelers noting the well-maintained rooms and facilities that contribute to an immaculate stay. Its location is lauded as perfect, making it a convenient base for visitors. While the hotel's rooms exude elegance and attention to detail, a few guests have encountered functional issues.
The atmosphere is celebrated for its literary charm and cozy nooks, yet some guests experience lapses in service quality, which is inconsistent with the hotel's high cost. Nonetheless, amenities like the luxurious suites, attentive concierge, and superb spa and dining services receive high marks from guests.

Reservation for breakfast at the Vendôme bar with a formula priced at 50.00 per person, for 9:15 a.m. Indeed when you arrive in front of this emblematic place it can be impressive but you have to get started. You are already greeted by a security guard at the entrance who asks you why you are coming, and then directs you to another receptionist who then directs you to a third person who manages the reservations. This lady invites us to wait in the hall, and informs us that someone from the Vendôme bar will come and pick us up. This waiting time allowed us to take advantage of places like the Proust salon. After about 30 minutes of waiting, and not seeing anyone arriving, and the doors of the bar still closed, we went to another lady who was at the reception of another lounge. We told her our reservation, she then replied that today there is no breakfast in Vendôme. Only in this other living room. The Marie Louise. The atmosphere that reigns is truly incredible, from another time, magnificent. The price of breakfast actually jumped by €22, so €72 per person. The whole team is really caring, welcoming, and attentive to every need. The food is worthy of the place, from orange juice, to scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, pastries and hot drinks, it's simply perfect. We really enjoyed this moment in this institution despite the inconvenience of the reception according to our reservation, and despite the price that we had planned which increased by €44. Of course it’s a budget and not within everyone’s reach, but something to do once in your life.

A smiling welcome, a pretty table on the terrace, brunch in an enchanting setting, service and organization that meets customer expectations. A delicious, well-stocked and varied buffet composed of cold dishes, seafood, hot dishes, cheeses (a somewhat limited choice) and a host of desserts. We had a pleasant time. However, I had benefited from a gift voucher of €340 (the value of which I learned at the time of payment) valid for two years, which I had in my possession since the end of March 2022. Sum which was to cover the entire meal for two people, excluding alcoholic drinks. This brunch, victim of its success, I had not managed to get a table since that date. But, something I didn't know, last April a significant increase was added. So I paid for our drinks and without batting an eyelid the difference.
I would have just liked when the reservation was confirmed and once I had given my gift card number, that I had been warned that the price of the brunch was increasing and that I would have to pay a supplement. Quite simply !
On the other hand, as is common in large restaurants, small stools to place handbags were made available to customers seated not far from our table. This attention could have been offered to my partner. When we left the table I looked around for two of the maîtres d'hôtel who were deep in conversation, in order to take my leave. Neither of us noticed that we were leaving...
I have too much respect for the hotel and restaurant professions and am aware that the brunch service is more relaxed than that imposed in a gourmet restaurant. I therefore allow myself to make these remarks because I know that very high standard houses like The Ritz have the ultimate goal of full customer satisfaction.

I stayed at Charlie Chapline Suite (1 of 16 prestigious suite) for 2 nights, which is worth about 20k for 2 nights, from May 18 to May 20.
I love to travel internationally, and enjoy staying at the luxury hotel for the average 10k per night. So, I know what the standard for this price at the luxury hotels is.
However I regret my choice to stay at the ritz paris, because of their poor service. When I decide to pay, I also expect to get treated as much as I paid.
First, Concierge didn't explain to me how to use the room equipment including the window opening and multiple buttoned old antique machine, so i have to figure it out by myself.
Second, the room service people took my full water bottles i asked and left empty water bottles. I asked them to bring me the water, and they told me it will be extra charge. I asked the concierge team, but they told me it's my fault to press the do not disturb button, which I am not aware of which button they are talking about. They also have the physical do not disturb sign. What is point of having the physicial sign if you have the buttons which you didn't explain?
Anyway, is Giving me the water that hard when I am staying at Charlie Chapline Suite?
Third, Staff members treat me and my fiance like I and my fiance are tourist, not the hotel guests. When we enter the hotel, they blocked us and asked us how they can help us. We just wanted to walk around the hotel, but we have to explain to them we are staying at the hotel. This was annoying.
For your information, I experienced the afternoon tea, breakfast, and the hemmingway bar because it is famous at here. But, I don't understand why so many people are trying to enjoy these because I don't see any uniqueness.
Also, I went to shangri la paris and le grand control right before ritz paris. I spent about 10k per night for two other hotels, and their service met my expectation. But, not ritz paris. I am very disappointed and I will never come back. This hotel is historical building, but their service is not to the level where it should be at this price range at this time.
I raised this concerns. The manager (I have never seen during my stay) popped up from nowhere, and he kept asking me how he can make up to me. It sounds like I am trying to get something from the hotel when I am about to leave the hotel. He kept asking me to take his card and make the reservation through him next time, for him to make up. But, I don't want to waste my time, and their attitude and service already ruined my vacation.
Again, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody with high expectation or used to the similar priced luxury hotel standard.

Dear Sir Jang, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback, and please accept our sincerest apologies for the delay in our response. We are deeply sorry to hear that your stay in the Suite Charlie Chaplin did not meet your expectations. The issues you highlighted are far from the level of excellence we strive to provide. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been, especially given the significant expectations that come with staying in one of our Prestige Suites. We regret that your interactions with our team left you feeling underappreciated and that your overall experience did not reflect the level of service expected. Should you wish to discuss your experience further please feel free to contact me directly at florence.poli@ritzparis.com We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future at the Ritz Paris Kind regards, Florence Poli Directrice hôtel Ritz Paris

Hello, we have been coming to the Ritz for New Year's Eve for 25 years. And the disappointments get longer and longer from year to year. Always less. 1) where did the pretty reindeer decorations go after the gates 2) waterless fountains 3) increasingly ridiculous party favors so much so that we wonder what it will look like next year. Doing less will be difficult. Gone are the days when white egrets and superb wolves were distributed 4) lobby office with broken glass 5) the swordfish is reduced to a minimum and is no longer in the historic show 6) no more dancing 7) it ends earlier and earlier. 8) at 10:30 p.m. in the Proust salon the tables were served and not replaced. It wasn't like that before 9) the Vendôme bar finished earlier again too...Always earlier... 10) people seated on three tables near the toilet stairs of the Ritz bar 11) servers no longer wish customers a Happy New Year. It was warm before...the other years 12) the Ritz bar seems "reserved for young people" and we insist on this to you by all means. We had to really insist on having a table...The regular customer is not fooled...especially when he comes as a neighbor. Obviously the management will claim the opposite but friends of "my age" have noticed it too... 13) we had to ask for the olives with the alcohol, although they are essential to tolerate alcohol. 14) no napkins, even paper ones, after eating the olives... The Ritz has done work to optimize space. Of course I am not criticizing this architectural choice but it is now missing all the little details that made the place exceptional. We will return as we live on the other side of the square but I sincerely hope that my once favorite hotel gets its act together.

I didn't reside at the Ritz and think I regret it. However I had the honor, the privilege, the favor of tasting the Great Sunday Brunch. It was like a gastronomic revelation, papillary accompanied by impeccable service. You will not dare to approach the buffet as the choice is vast. Where to start? The gastronomy is French, international (Italian, Lebanese, Spanish). Where to start? By seafood? By the meat? The chefs behind the buffet will advise you. You will get lost at the salad bar, you will know what to choose before cheeses and desserts. Come once for you to also feast on the show, to honor Epicure. The stars you meet with cheeses, the stars with whom you will compete for a strawberry slice, and all Paris that will covet the same refined entrees as you, will remind you that excellence has a price.

This was my first stay at the Ritz, but it won’t be my last. Every staff member that I encountered was professional but friendly and made me feel quite welcomed.
One of the great perks of a stay at the Ritz is that your room is ready when you arrive, regardless of the time (as long as you let them know your arrival time in advance). Many flights from the US arrive quite early in the morning, so this was a huge plus for me. It is also possible to delay check out until 3 pm on your day of departure.
I have already booked a second stay for January 2025

I took my 91 year old mother to Paris for the last time and we stayed at the Ritz. In my lifetime I’ve never had a perfect stay until this one. The first thing you notice is the physical beauty of the hotel. Each room is decorated like a jewel box. The attention to detail, whether it’s the magnificent linens or warm bathroom floors oozes luxury. At Christmas the hotel is spectacularly decorated, as is the Place Vendome. All of that said, it’s the people that make this place so very special. My mom has limited mobility and every single member of the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special and help her get around. We were greeted upon arrival with a bottle of chilled champagne in the room and a beautiful tray of croissants, coffee and the freshest orange juice—such a wonderful start to our stay. The entire staff at breakfast at L’espadon made each start to our day a pleasure. The doormen are the heroes of the property. They handled her like the finest piece of porcelain. The housekeeping staff keeps the hotel in pristine condition (fyi there is a real hairdryer and flat iron in the bathroom so you won’t need to bring yours) and the lovely signature sent of the hotel wafts everywhere. This was so much more than a hotel stay, it was an opportunity to make beautiful memories. Yes, I paid handsomely to stay here but I got so much more out of this experience than they did my dollars. There are many beautiful hotels in Paris but there is only one Ritz.

The savory buffet was good and varied as were the desserts but without waouh effect. The blank was tasteless and the specialties (madeleines and little schoolboy) no more. On the other hand big downside for the service: no ottoman to put our bags that remained on the ground, we had to claim cutlery twice and when finally the knives arrived they were knives with entrance to cut beef side. My daughter served water at the table throughout the meal, we ate our desserts in the middle of the bread crumbs of the meal. No wiping of the tablecloth and the addition was also brought to us in the middle of the crumbs. Finally I was apostrophed in the middle of the hall by the waiter who checked how much I had paid. Only the check was at the level of a 5 star 474 euros to 2. I will not come back because very disappointed.

A third experience at the Ritz for brunch which turned out to be disappointing. The first time, a dozen years ago, was a wonderful discovery, everything was perfect. Same observation the second time, shortly after the reopening following the work of the Ritz, we introduced this place to 2 couples who were enchanted. This last brunch did not live up to our expectations on several points. First of all, the price has increased significantly, so we could expect a move upmarket, but this is not the case: The choice at the buffet level is more limited, fewer hot dishes, very few cheeses, no really surprising starters even if the quality remains good. The tables are very close together, probably to optimize the number of seats in the rooms, but this leaves little room for privacy and the passage of people constantly brushing against your chair is annoying. The service is OK but less friendly than before. And finally the attendance of the places is surprising, one could imagine that one must wear a correct and decent outfit to be admitted to a Parisian palace, but this is not the case: jogging with old t-shirt are admitted with the added bonus of exposure of tattoos, mini skirts with spun tights... In short, elegance is no longer required, the first time we encountered a President of the Republic with the First Lady, last weekend, it was a completely different population. But they paid for their meal like everyone else!!!

Bar Vendome serves a tea with savory sandwiches Salon Proust serves sweets only but I feel the Salon Proust is a more elegant room to experience the tea but both experiences are lovely
