We stayed here in the summer of 2009 and it was fabulous! The hotel is historical but our room had a completely renovated awesomely modern bathroom with a great shower (bring your own shampoo, as I recall there was only one travel size for our whole stay, but, who cares!). Best of all, the room (which was on the main...

My sister, niece and I stayed here in 2001 based on a recommendation from a friend living in London. We loved our garret room on the top floor and the plain as you please service. I've recommended it several times since and have had many family members and friends stay here.

Such a charming place. The hotel is a few minutes away from the subway and a Velib station. Has comfortable beds, delicious hot water in the bathtub and a gentle staff. Totally recomend it :-)

We spent 8 nights at this hotel and had an excellent, satisfying experience. The room was spacious, clean, plenty of hot water with flat screen TV. They will be having wireless in each room soon. Excellent location, near metro(St.Paul) and many sights and restaurants. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. They speak English and were helpful in many ways:...

An unbeatable value. This is a very charming Parisian hotel, with clean, comfortable rooms, a great location, and very reasonable prices. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to the Metro (St-Paul), and a 5-minute walk to several great cafes & restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, this is an ideal place to stay in the Marais.

It isn't very cheap but worth every single euro. It's near a delicious coffee shop (Pauls), the oldest square in Paris (voges), the underground and Bastilla. It's neat and confortable. The breakfast isn't included.

A small, but nice hotel in a great location. Nothing fancy, but lots of character. We have returned to it several times and will again. In Marais district near Place de Vosges, a local square with good restaurants, metro, etc.

We were pleasantly surprised by this quaint but very cool hotel. Very close to the St Paul metro station and really in the heart of a vibrant and easy to navigate location, we really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was spacious and clean with a recently renovated bathroom. The hosts were friendly and helpful and breakfasts were ample. Loved...

This hotel was recommended to me several years ago. Location is great and convenient to a Metro stop. We were a group of 3 and had a pleasantly large room. It was clean and it looked like there had been a few updates. There is a tub and shower head but the one in our room was only hand held...

The location was fabulous and very easy to get to from the metro. Very young, hip, and fun area with lots of great restaurants to eat at. The hotel itself was alright. It was very very clean which is commendable. Although the hotel was small, which is pretty standard I suppose for a European hotel. The bathroom was quite cramped...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
