Loved this place just for being something different. It is located right next to a church and feels like and extension. old Gothic architecture and furniture. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff

This small and beautiful hotel is located within a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame. The hotel is part of an old church, giving it a worldly-feel in terms of decor. The hotel staff are wonderful--from helping to plan your visit to offering suggestions on food and getting around Paris, I could not have asked for more! There are excellent...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a recent trip to Paris. Brilliant location...10 minute walk from La Louvre and situated in a lively area. Great transport links, lots of bars and places to eat nearby. The hotel itself is built into an old church. The room we had was a stone floor & wall....

We were doing a trip where we were in London for a week and then Paris for a week. Originally when we checked dates none of the rooms were available the whole time we were there. Then they mentioned that the suite was available! We checked out the pics online,, and I even had a Parisian friend of mine go...

The location of Hotel St Merry - cannot be faulted for proximity to attractions, shopping, bars and restaurants. BUT the hotel is run down and in need of a makeover to really shine. Our room was attractive however a very bad smell coming from the bathroom. We investigated and there was terrible black mould under the basin and vanity. Notified...

Comfortable room, lots of wood beams, continental breakfast which is delivered to your room promptly at the time of your choice. I only had this the first morning - have had fresher croissants. Just be careful if you've booked and paid that they don't try to charge you again :/ Convenient for travelling on the metro and some fun bars...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel nearly 20 years ago and loved it's quirkiness and character. The location is perfect for a stay in Paris, being pretty much in the centre of the city and close to all the major attractions. Unfortunately, on this trip, I found the experience to be far less satisfactory. The reception is manned...

This hotel was the presbytery of the church next door which was built in the1500's. The hotel only has a few rooms and no lift. It also has no air conditioning. Normally, the lack of ac is not a problem, but at the time - July 4- Paris was experiencing a heat wave with 100 degree temperatures. We were provided...

Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff I just wish we had have stayed longer. The hotel is beautiful, clean and equipped with all the basics that a traveler would need! Also secure parking nearby if you get there by car as we did! Already planning our next trip to Paris and we will definitely be coming back to this hotel!

The hotel is an extension of a church and hence explains the medieval deco in its hotel rooms. It is excellently situated (five stars) in the center of Paris with many tourist destinations (Notre Dame, Sainte-Chappel, Louvre, Tuileries Garden, and Pompideou Center) within walking distance. During my stay at the hotel, I took the BATOBUS (river shuttle) to and from...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
