This was a lovely hotel on the left bank. It was convenient to everything. You could walk to multiple metro stops, museums and sights and there were numerous restaurants and stores within a few blocks of the hotel. The rooms were charmingly decorated but small. There was barely room for our suitcases and no closets, instead wardrobes. There was not really a seaing area, but a desk and chair. The rooms were almost all taken up by the beds. The bathrooms were modern and of a fine size. There is only one elevator and it is slow, but totally fine to use. The included breakfast was delicious: croissants, pain au chocolat, eggs, sausage, coldcuts, yogurt and fruit. The staff was very helpful and friendly, making restaurant reservations for us and getting the occasional taxi. It was very reasonably priced and a deal for what we paid (we booked 9 months in advance). Traveled with 2 17-year olds who also enjoyed it. Air-conditioning worked fine.

I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2025. Upon arrival, I found the front desk staff to be warm and helpful. We were really early so the room was not ready. However, they offered us coffee, tea, and water. They also took our luggage and placed it in a secure room so we could explore Paris without the burden of carrying it around.
Upon returning and checking in, the room was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was a bit small (I could not dry my back with a towel without opening the door) but had a wonderful towel warmer which warmed the whole room. There was no view from the window but that kept the sound level from the street way down. The beds were very comfortable and there was adequate storage for two people. Staff were able to provide us with a corkscrew when it was needed
The hotel is very centrally located. It is only a few blocks from the notre dame subway station. I was able to walk to all major sites except for the Palace of Versailles. Many restaurants and bars are also available in the surrounding area. I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood.
Breakfast and a bar are available although I did not utilize either service. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially due to the reasonable price it offered.

Great location. Bathroom clean. Room and therefore bed tiny, not a comfortable stay. Carpets need replaced as heavily stained. Because room so small paint chipped and damaged. Room cleaners decide you've had enough snacks and get rid of all snacks left of the table. We were checking out early to catch a flight so I got account paid the day before for city taxes and breakfasts, reception hopeless didn't know we had breakfasts I had to tell them how many and after I'd paid, got a call to go and pay some more Room tax she'd forgotten to charge. Good thing I got copies of statement and receipts the next morning a different receptionist reckoned I hadn't paid (booked thru agoda and paid them) and wasn't going to let us out of the building. Taxi waiting, I'm pulling receipts, their statements and my banking app before he finally let us out. It's a great location but value for money it isn't, customer service needs alot of work. Final interaction in Paris certainly didn't leave a good vibe, Stay somewhere else.

I’m not sure how to begin this review, except maybe to get right to the point: we were concerned enough with the cleanliness of our room that we decided not to stay at the hotel at all. We could smell mold as we first entered our room, and found visible signs of it as well. There were ciragette burns on the decorative coverlette on the bed and the toilet seat was sticky when we opened it. (In fact, these are just a few examples that caught our attention immediately.)
Having worked in both hospitality and customer service jobs, I tend to lean towards understanding that the Dauphine does not have the same operating resources as larger hotels, but at best the hotel is understaffed in the housekeeping and maintenance departments and at worst suffer from management that fails to hold a standard worthy of a 3 star hotel and possibly at the expense of health and safety of its guests (and employees.)
The location is fantastic, but I suggest that you can find other nearby hotels at similar cost and higher standard.

Dear ksit2016, We thank you for taking the time to share your experience at HĂ´tel Dauphine Saint-Germain. We are glad the location pleased you. As for the rest, we are very surprised as you did not tell the front desk what was going on in your room. We could have proposed another. We are very sorry you had to experience this kind of bad surprises and we would have tried to fix it and please you. We hope to welcome you another time. Best regards, Flora-Lyse

It will be close to impossible to find a better location in Paris' Latin quarter: Only seconds on foot to countless restaurants and bars in a VERY cozy neighborhood. The hotel was a little disappointing and both hotel and our room actually appeared a bit shabby: Hair, threads and fluff on floors and carpets on arrival, were also there on departure 3 days later... Our room was relatively small and impractically furnished, e.g. we had to go down a 4-meter-long corridor to go to the toilet/bath room, which was diminutive - but contained what you need. Breakfast in Parisian hotels is rarely overwhelming, but I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by claiming that this hotel's breakfast is VERY basic: There is only exactly what is needed to be able to fill you up. The staff was friendly, but somehow strangely absent and did not seem happy on job.

If you really want to stay here make sure you get a suite, the rooms are incredibly tiny.We checked in on a Friday & out on a Tuesday and never saw any management, only front desk, breakfast and housekeeping employees. So I really didn't think a complaint would go far. Immediately on walking in the room I knew we were doomed. We could barely fit our luggage in the room & walk around the bed. Then I really started looking and was appalled at the dust & carpet appearance. Over our stay the noise outside, especially during the night, was atrocious. We had to have the windows open,it was in the high 50s at night, and even ear plugs didn't help. The only positive is location. Easy access everywhere & surrounding restaurants & shops.

Dear Guest, We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoyed your stay with us. Indeed, our room can feel small but it is the standard size for a 3 stars hotel in the center of Paris. We have rooms facing the street lighter and rooms facing the courtyard very quiet without any noise from the street you sould ask us ! We are open 24h/24h and we are always trying to find the best way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We wish you all the best and again we send to you our apologizes for not being able to make your stay wonderful

This is the fourth time we stayed at the Hotel Dauphine over the last ten years. While there are no views from the windows, the location is outstanding, being perfectly placed between the lively restaurants, cafes and shopping of the Latin Quarter and Saint Germain. It is steps away from the Pont Neuf and nearby Notra Dame. It is in front of a taxi stand and not far from three useful Metro stops. As soon as you walk out the door, you are in the middle of the "action" of a lively Parisian area. The desk staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small/crowded, and a little dark, but very comfortable. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The wifi is great. There is coffee, water and free pastry available all the time. You cannot beat the price and location in Paris.

Dear scottgE2608VW, Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion about HĂ´tel Dauphine Saint-Germain. Thank you for this rate and mostly for coming back ! We are so grateful to have guests like you. We are pleased to read how you like our location, appreciate our team's work at the front office and in the rooms. As for the light within those rooms, our house is more than 400 years old. So we cannot decide to enlarge the windows or that sort of things. So the colours are clear and enlightened by many mirors. The historical Paris is not something you can easily change and that is part of the charm, right ? We will be thrilled to welcome you again soon. Best regards,Flora-Lyse

If you like cold showers, this is your place. If you like plugged toilets and malfunctioning air conditioning, this could be someplace you’d like. The pluses would be the orange juice, most of the staff, and the location which is close to the Seine, the Louvre, and Notre Dame.

If you are looking for a hotel that will give you a real Paris feel and experience then look no further. The location is perfect and close to everything. Located in the 6th Arrondissment it is near Notre Dame, Pont Nuef, and the Louvre and d’Orsay museums. Nearby bus and metro lines making it easy to get around . It is quirky, quaint very French. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and speak English. The rooms are very small by US standards but it is clean and everything works. The water pressure is good and it is hot. The AC works. Wifi is good and easy to connect. The breakfast is very good with enough variety for everyone but there are many cafes in the neighborhood that will also serve a decent breakfast. One note of caution is that the hotel consists of two buildings that were joined. If you have a room number that ends in 5 or 6 be prepared to walk up or down a half flight from the lift. Also avoid a room number that ends in 6 as the bathroom is extra small and awkward. All in all we stayed 4 nights and will return on our next trip to Paris.

Unsure if you've rec'd this response already - VERY small elevator at Dauphine but only 4 floors to the hotel if any consolation. My wife and I have shoe-horned into th elevator w/our luggage.
Happy & safe travels
