We stayed at this hotel in May, 2012. The hotel is centrally located to many of the best sights in Paris. It is in the middle of a very nice part of St. Germain. Good restaurants are everywhere. It is within quick walking distance of...More
My wife and I spent 5 delightful days here (room 20). My wife had seen the hotel on a prior trip and thought it looked cute. Our room was on the streetside, but on the 5th floor AND with double windows. We did not notice...More
Upon arrival reception did NOT have our reservation, which we'd made directly through the hotel, but we were upgraded for free to a larger room, which was all they had. We only spent one night before flying home, but the staff was very friendly and...More
I was booked into this hotel on a work-related visit to Paris by my hosts, because of its convenient location for getting to my meetings. Check-in was smooth, and the room I stayed in (Comfort) was lovely with beautiful frames and wallpaper, and furniture which...More
This was my second stay at the Hotel Danube.
Great location (steps from Saint-Germain Metro). Reasonable price for a nice room. Plenty of toilet paper (always important to me) and towels. Lovely Roger&Gallet soaps/shampoos that smell so nice.
Free WiFi in the room(always a plus)....More

In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented
musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
They will be able to store your luggage, but whether you can check into the room will depend on whether the previous tenants have checked out. We were able to get into the room early on one trip, but not another.
