Nestled away in the famous St Germain district on the Parisian left bank. The Verneuil is a long way from the usual characterless chain hotel....The staff are first class and will go out of their way to assist you. the rooms are very clean including chocolates on arrival and rain shower head and quality toiletries in the bathroom. I could not have found a more perfect place to stay for my week in Paris. The location, the people, the service and amenities - it had everything I wanted. Not for someone looking for glamour, but the ambiance in the 17th Century building cannot be beat. I will return.

My seventh stay at The Hotel... and never disappointed. The staff remain first rate. The room small but always quiet. The shower rainhead is powerful and envigorating after walking about 5 miles daily. And the location. Ahhhh the location. Perfect. With a wonderful cheese shop, charcuterie, Eric Kayser for croissants and some nice wine shops. All within 3 blocks. You're...

Don't expect a large room but that is often the case with many of the rooms in Paris. The room was lovely though and the small box of chocolates left on my bed when checking in was a lovely touch. In addition, the little candies on the pillow every night was a welcome treat. The hotel now also provides a...

This, I find, always makes a huge difference. Our room (especially including the bathrooms and toilet) was always in pristine condition. All the usual amenities were always there and...

We stayed here for the third time. Staff is excellent and you really feel at home there. Breakfast is very good and everything shines with cleanliness. A week prior to your arrival you will receive an e-Mail with some questions, where you can write some special requirements for your room. As well, you can order hotel's car to the airport....

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
