Ratings on Trip Advisor are always a bit of a challenge because everything gets thrown together in one pot. But you work with what you have. The Hotel d'Aubbuson is as solid a four star property as you are likely to find in Paris. With...More
It is 11:30 at night and I cannot sleep because of the LOUD music in the Hotel bar. Multiple calls to the front desk got no response.
Otherwise the hotel is lovely if you want to go to sleep after midnight.
No surprises for our sixth stay at Hotel D'Aubusson. The best front desk staff anywhere, (thanks Jean, Royce, Clement, and everyone else), and while we'll miss Audrey up front, we're sure she'll be great with her new responsibilities. Great people, amazing location, really comfortable beds!...More
I just returned from a Christmas vacaction in France and England, and I cannot speak highly enough of Hotel d'Aubusson and their lovely staff. The hotel itself is very luxurious, with lovely rooms with high-end touches (marble bathrooms, Hermes products, great linens, robes, etc). All...More
We booked a Grand Luxe room, which had a "view" of the side street. It was quiet, but still only half a block off the River Seine on Rue Dauphine. For a Left Bank location, this cannot be beaten. You do have to pay for...More
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this
area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

A heavier trench coat and layers should serve you well. If you think you need something a little warmer check out the packable down coats from Uniqlo. You can roll them up and pack them away without taking up too much room.
