In the former home of Prince Roland Bonaparte, overlooking the Eiffel Tower and River Seine, ultimate Parisian elegance lives on in the French capital at Shangri-La Paris. This 19th century architectural gem has been listed in the French “Monuments Historiques” registry since 2009 and officially awarded the “Palace” status in 2014. Centrally located in the 16th arrondissement, minutes from the Champs-Elysées, the hotel blends European grandeur with traditional Asian hospitality.

This is my second review about this hotel. After 15 months, not traveling, horror of the Pandemic, now we can go to France fully vaccinated! Still, it was amazing how this hotel met beyond the standards of the safety. We felt so comfortable staying in Shangri La Paris. Of course the hotel, amenities and the view is breath taking. But the staff!!! So wonderful, professional, nice and go above and beyond to make our stay so pleasant and without worries. Even they organized a doctor to visit us at the hotel to take our Covid test on our way back to the United States. They make everything so easy! I highly recommend staying at the Shangri La Paris and to worry about anything, just enjoy and relax and have the best food here ( even in room dining is better than any Michelin star restaurant) !

Hotel's Favourite
Don't be fooled by the fact that the hotel is owned by an Asian company. It's exterior and interior reflects it's Parisian setting. But the wonderful attention to service that is reflected in so many in the Shangri la hotels based in Asia is also displayed here. It is a beautiful mixture of east meets west. It's not too gaudy like many Parisian hotels with excessive floral prints in the rooms, gold fixtures, and huge chandeliers. Yet the hotel and staff has a way of making guests feel like royalty staying in a palace. Isn't that the experience when one travels to such a city? The breakfast is wonderful (loved the chocolate crepes). Rooms are spacious are and airy with large bathrooms. The rooms hold 2 full size beds comfortably. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine cruise dock. The courtyard is quaint and cute. Shangri la......fitting name. It is a quiet oasis away from the urban noise and hustle and bustle of the city...while still being in the middle of it.

Loved it! Amazing suite, great services, polite staff. It might have been perfect, but the weather ruined the stay for us. That and we were in a hurry. However, I do love the Shangri-la chain, as a rule.

A new favorite in the City of Light - The Shangri-La Hotel Paris. A former resident of the grand-nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte , Prince Roland. The estate perfectly situated for dramatic evening views of the Eiffel Tower in the Terrace Suite , thanks to American Express FHR. While hotel appealed to the senses, the staff touched each guest with warmth and professionalism. The concierge team was tireless in their quest to make sure that every experience was perfect. A great experience and I ill be back for a longer stay
