Lovely hotel, friendly, charming. helpful and competent staff. Excellent breakfast. Quiet room. All facilities. A unique experience staying in a Parisian 'Passage'. Would not hesitate to return - in fact we will!

IMO Staff was very friendly and helpful, room (we had the more expensive "classic" version) was charming and clean (not very big, but that is normal in Paris), good bread (!), decent coffee, great freshly pressed orange juice, cereal and joghurt all was fine. I enjoyed staying at the Hotel Chopin. There is nothing I can think of that disturbed... More

Hotel Chopin tucked away in the Passage Jouffroy was charming. I particularly liked the lozenge shaped spiral stairway and the standing Buddha offering sweets in the hall. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. There was no a/c and this was fine when we visited. There was a tiny lift. The staff were helpful. The area quiet yet mere... More

We stayed in the Hotel Chopin for 2 nights over a weekend. It is situated down a quiet little passageway, away from the noise and busyness of Paris, however, step outside of the passageway and you are right in the centre of Paris, with the metro stop a 2-min walk away. The location is fantastic. The staff are very friendly... More

Friendly staff, great location. View on the roofs, not on the street, so the rooms are quiet. For to those who wish to get away from the standardized appearance of hotel chains. On our next trip to Paris we will stay here again.

We spent three nights here in order to be close to where family was staying in a business hotel. Very quiet, helpful receptionist. Clean. Good value for money. The breakfast was average, although it included unlimited freshly squeezed orange juice. Disappointing croissants. Located in a covered passage that has many interesting shops.

We stayed here for 8 days while we explored Paris, and it was the perfect location within a cozy "passage" (covered alleyway). The staff was friendly and inviting, at the desk 24/7, and they held your key at the desk when you went out. Breakfast was very nice with flaky croissants and a fresh squeezed OJ machine. Rooms were clean... More

We have enjoyed staying in this hotel on many occasions. Like all in Paris, the rooms are tiny, but always neat and clean. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Charming, clean and convenient the hotel was also quiet and a good place to stay. The unusual setting in the arcade made it feel safe and the breakfast was good. It has a lift but it is a few steps up so be aware if mobility is a problem.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
