I was staying in this hotel with my mum and little sister for about 4 nights. What we really appreciated was the location. It is really perfect, everything is walking distance or just a few stops by subway. I'd recommend getting here by bys from CDG airport as the subway doesn't have escalators thus it's a bit more difficult with...

This was our first night in Paris we were very tired from the 14 hour flight. We checked in 2 hours early and the room was made available earlier however it was small and uncomfortable with quite a few stairs to access the lift. The room was old and faded with a small fan no coffee or tea making. The...

I stayed at the lovely Hotel Chopin for nine nights just after Christmas. The Chopin is perfect in every way! The historic building is simply charming, with a cozy lobby (with free wifi) and a pretty little breakfast room. Hotel staff are so welcoming and helpful, giving great directions and advice about restaurants, local shops, the best metro routes, etc....

This hotel was Our first stop after a 14 hour flight from Australia, the lady at the desk managed to get our rooms early (1030) which was fantastic. What looks in the lobby as a cute hotel, with some old charm, dissipated when we entered the rooms. The rooms just felt like a 'pay by the hour' hotel. The bathroom...

It is very easy to get to from the Metro. You get off at the Grand Bouelard stop. walk about 5 min. The hotel is at the end of what I call a hall. The street name is at the top of the hall, opposite side of the Metro stop. Many shops, restaurants, shopping in area. Money exchange both ways...

Wonderful hotel located in historic Passage Jouffrey in the 9th arrondisement (but right next to the 2nd). The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The location is excellent - close in and right by a metro stop, but very quiet. There are several excellent restaurants close by. The bath in the room had just been remodeled and was very...

lovely hotel just off Boulevard Montmatre. Excellent location - you can walk to so many places from here. Very helpful staff. smallish room on the top floor, but there's a lift and it's clean and quiet. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely but it's optional and there are lots of cafes nearby. Second stay here

Can't fault this lovely little hotel located within the Passage Jouffroy off the Boulevard Montmatre. Metro station on the doorstep. Walking distance to the Louvre and Notre Dame. Staff are extremely helpful and cannot recommend this little gem highly enough. Locality has lots of reasonable eateries, bars and cafes. Chartiers Restaurant is two minutes walk away and not to be...

I stayed in room 407 for six nights with friends. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it is in a GREAT location. The hotel is surrounded by great bars, cafes, and restaurants. It also was not that far of a walk (maybe 30 minutes) to get to the Louvre or Notre Dame areas. The Passage...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
