In our stay at this hotel there was everything. When we arrived, the room we had chosen (an executive with a single sofa bed) proved too small for a couple and their 1.85 teen. Commenting on the reception if they could give us a little more, Elena, the girl who attended us, informed us that the ones in that classification were all the same, ideal for a couple with a small child, but little more. Difficult to stir three adults and their bags. He offered us to upgrade to another superior paying an increase. He accompanied us to show it and the truth that it was very worth paying a little more because the difference was important: a two queen bed room with a small room. All very cozy. Two types of pillows to choose from and comfortable mattresses, their bathrobes and slippers. The only stick, the bathroom, by comparison, is not very large and, besides, it has no plugs. You can't plug in a hair straightener, a razor, and worst of all, we found that inside the room itself, the plugs were limited to the two tables. No more, far from only mirror located in the room and bathroom. Commenting on it the next day at reception, they explained that it was due to the safety regulations in France and undertook to check the room to install some more plugs for older people that could provide more service. Our complaint, a day later, was also directed to the housekeeping service that did not replenish toilet paper, or water bottles. The restaurant, the only one we saw, on the ground floor (it was winter and we could not enjoy the garden), served dinner and breakfast. As positive points to say that the menu is not very big but it is all really delicious and are quick to serve. As a negative point, they do not have room service. You have to come downstairs if you want to eat dinner. Breakfast, in the same place, seemed short variety for a hotel of those stars and category. Breakfast in which, to my liking, the pancakes (very delicious), the croissanes (small but delicious) and the cook who prepared the eggs at the moment, were the stars of the buffet. It falls short of the juice offer (only two), although it does have a blender if you have humor and time to make one. The offer of savory is not too wide either. This over the weekend. On Monday we found that the supply of fresh bread was much lower and that the replenishment of juices and fresh fruit was slower and more disorganized. I don’t know if this is all because it was February and the variety increases in summer, but the hotel certainly seemed to be quite complete, so I was surprised. Otherwise, the hotel is very well located, within walking distance of the Pont Neuf and the Lovre. The only thing I can’t put a beat on (and for that reason it deserves the “very good” rating), is all employees, especially those at the front desk: Elena, Paulina, who attended us wonderfully well, willing at all times to give us a solution and/or explanation to our problems, as well as to the buttons. It was our first visit to Paris and I don’t know if other hotels in the same category could have the same or similar complaints, but I’ve traveled a lot to very different destinations to think that, in my opinion, those 4 stars should be worked a little more.

I rarely leave a review on TA, I think I average about one per year - and I only write them when a place really impresses me. Hence.
My wife and I along with our two kids aged 9 and 6 stayed here the second weekend of December for three nights, Saturday to Monday. The purpose of our visit was twofold, a couple of days sightseeing in beautiful Paris and a day spent visiting Eurodisney.
So - location wise this hotel could not have been more perfectly placed had we done it by hand. The Chatelet - Les Halles metro station is on a short, direct line from CDG Airport, and to our delight, it is also on the direct line out to Disneyland. The cherry on the top is the fact that the hotel is quite literally 15 metres (and no roads needing crossing) from the Metro station entrance itself.
It is built at the meeting points of six or seven roads and thus there is a straight line walk to the Seine at Pont Neuf, Notre Dame, the Louvre etc. So slap bang in the middle of town - and with numerous restaurants, bistros and pavement cafes in every direction. We ate locally and - being Scottish - we were quite pleased too at prices cheaper than in Edinburgh and a lot cheaper than London. Quel surprise.
The hotel staff, and I mean all of them, were polite, helpful and kind. Lovely.
We were B&B and the selection was great, plenty of options and not the plain ‘Continental’ I feared. An omelette chef on hand and plenty of bacon and eggs if thats your thing. Fresh fruit, bread, cheese and cured hams to die for - its all there and all fresh.
Our room was an upgrade and whilst not exactly spacious (as is the way in Paris), it never felt cramped. We had a KS bed and a fold down settee for the kids. A lovely view out onto the street.
Ps - on the Monday visit to Disney, it was our daughters 6th birthday. One of the Staff must have noticed because - when we returned that evening - they had put up decorations in the room specific to a 6th birthday. C’est beau.

I have always been aware that I am a very demanding customer. At Novotel Les Halles in Paris, all my expectations were far exceeded. Unbeatable cleanliness, the comfort of the room, equipped with a coffee machine with capsules of all kinds, a well-stocked minibar with free water always available, hairdryer and professional personal hygiene products, ironing board and iron. Particular note of appreciation for the comfort of the mattresses and the quality of the bedding. Conveniently located at the Chatelet les Halles metro exit, this modernly designed hotel is a ten-minute walk from the Louvre and Notre Dame. A heartfelt thanks goes to Han, Carine and Elena and to all the guys in the reception and restaurant, who have worked hard in welcoming and managing the gluten-free menu required for my mother also proposing different alternatives with extreme kindness. I highly recommend it, we will definitely return!!

This is a standard hotel in a convenient location (walking distance) to most of Paris main attractions with the metro right out the front and major shopping centres at the rear. You can walk to Notre dame, Seine river, Louvre, LV Dream and if your fitter then me the opera district, Lafayette and the champs élysées.
Whilst we won’t stay here again as I’d rate it a 3 star property regardless of it’s actual rating, it’s not to our standard and the location wasn’t as nice as the Eiffel Tower area or others. However that is our opinion and it could suit those families, cost conscious people who like a Novotel standard room. The hotel did upgrade us to the actual room I did book through my travel agent where that booking was incorrect on arrival (my agents fault) so we can say thank you for that to the hotel. I can say the staff were good and if this is the area you like it’s ok. Filled with restaurants with half price cocktails daily and tourist food. A patisserie across the square.
Negatives Main big problem in Paris heat- no refrigerated air conditioning, they only have evaporated air conditioning. It doesn’t work I’m the heat, they got us a fan but we were very damp and uncomfortable. Cars can’t go there so taxis are a wait unless you walk to Main Street and you have to drag your bags up stairs and across the square.
Recommendations Classic room very basic, book a superior Ask the cleaning staff to not open the window when cleaning as all the hot air you spend a day getting cool escapes. Don’t expect staff to know what a “do not disturb” sign is as they come in as they please.

The accessibility of the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, which means that we could be closest to parking Berger, and which makes it quite a drag with luggage, especially when you xeetthat my wife is a wheelchair user. Rooms are nicely cared for, we had a view of the courtyard, but that makes it difficult to open a window at night because of the noise of the cooling installations on the roof. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is not expensive at all, but the quality is also counterbalanced.

The location is perfect for visits to all the main areas and sites of Paris, especially with the Metro station within 20 metres of the Hotel. Strong advice – view your room prior to occupation. We were allocated a room on the fourth floor with a street view. Having booked an Executive Room, we were disappointed with its size and furnishings. The room had a Queen-sized bed and a sofa bed suitable for a small child. There was no desk facility to work at with only a low oval table with a mis-matched chair. The unit containing the Safe and Refrigerator was not positioned against the wall and encroached on the space in the room and the Refrigerator was not working. There was a closed shelf unit with a fabric door that was secured closed using magnets, however the wardrobe hanging rail was open to the room with no form of enclosure around it. The en-suite was adequate in size, however there was a minimal amount of space around the sink for in use toiletries. The sink has a design where it cannot be filled for use and only the reduced flow of running water direct from the tap is possible. There was adequate lighting and ventilation, and room service operated daily. On arrival the following were observed: Hairs sticking to the wall opposite to the shower beside the door at a height of 2 metres. There were two toilet roll holders, one of which was broken and obviously unusable. The toilet pan brush was broken and again obviously unusable. The ducting/fan in the shower was always silent and it was concluded that it was not functioning due to the amount of condensation on all the walls and surfaces after the shower was used. Carpets had heavy staining in several areas.
We booked through an agency and therefore understand that there could some confusion with the room specifications, however we did confirm at reception on arrival we had booked an executive room with a Queen-sized bed and street view as requested and confirmed by a previous email to the hotel. We are left with a disappointing opinion of Novotel standards and presentation.

We spent two nights in this conveniently located hotel in one of the most beautiful central districts of Paris. Getting there is made easier by having the metro right in front of the entrance, as well as the Les Halles shopping center right behind it, and the Pompidou center just a stone's throw away. The rooms are very modern and clean, and boast an open shower (with darkened glass), a set of pillows of your choice, but rather narrow spaces (but it fits). Opposite is a patisserie, La Parisienne, which boasts exceptional baked goods, as well as several baguette baking awards. A special mention to Paulo, one of the hotel concierges, who helped us a lot and gave us valuable information on transport, all in perfect Italian!

We booked this hotel almost a year before our June 2024 trip mainly because it's well recommended and reasonably priced (vs other 1st arr hotel options). The hotel was responsive to all my queries sent via Booking.com. I tried to book directly after we got our visas but they couldn't match the rate I got from Booking.com.
On the day of our check in, I was anticipating that the hotel will give us the worst room since we paid cheaper rates but no, Olivier even gave us an upgrade! Our room was bigger and had 2 sofa beds and was facing the quieter side of the area. The room was almost perfect --- spacious, wifi, aircon and heater running, comfortable beds. It lacked however a retractable clothesline and it could use more hooks and bigger bedside tables. I also found the shower floor quite slippery and could be dangerous especially since the shower area doesn't have railings.
Breakfast food was good and there are many choices but these are the same everyday (imagine eating the same breakfast spread for a week!). The location was great with the train station literally a few steps from the hotel. Getting a taxi/Bolt was also easy, sometimes though we'd walk to the main road (about 5mins) to make it faster/easier to get a Bolt. There is also a self service laundromat 5mins away from the hotel. We used this 2x and we were so grateful for the convenience.
The hotel is in a central location and you could walk to many spots to/ from the hotel.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for the location, rooms, food and service!

To begin with, the location is excellent so you can do everything on foot, and if you need it there is a metro line right outside the door.. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms.. Breakfast was very varied and I thought it was worth the value for money, children under 11 do not pay. There is free ice cream from 2pm to 6pm, the kids love it!!! The entire team is very helpful, but the highlights are Paulo and Karl, who speak Portuguese and go to great lengths to help guests.

Great hotel for a family of 4. We stayed 4 nights in June, 2023. The we made a note on our reservations that we had 2 children traveling with us and the staff decorated the room with balloons and provided coloring pages and color pencils for the kids. Alejandro made quick work of our check in and helped book a river tour to give us an overview of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. We were in 414 and had a great view to Sacre Coeur. Blackout shades made it easy to put the kids to bed and keep them asleep with the late sunsets. Molton Brown products were provided for the shower and the toilet is separated from the rest of the bathroom. Only thing to note about the bathroom is that the tint on the glass is electronically controlled by a button in the shower. A bottle filling station is located in the fitness room, adjacent to the lobby. We didn't dine in the hotel but great brasseries and boulangeries are located just steps away. The location has almost direct access to Metro and RER trains and walking distance to many popular tourist locations. The location was really excellent. I would highly recommend the Novotel Paris Les Halles to families planning a trip to Paris.
