Thanks to the reviews on the tripadvisor, I have selected Novotel,Les Halles for our 3 days stay in Paris recently. Honestly, I was a bit worried about the quality and size of the hotel room, before I went to Paris, given that most visitors stress on the low quality and the small size of the hotel rooms in Paris. At...

We just stayed for 2 nights at the Novotel Les Halles and booked an executive room at the fourth floor. Nice room with a view on the Forum les Halles. Fantastic location near the Centre Pompidou and the metro Chatelet Les Halles. Good and smooth check-in, nice Novotel room (you know what you'll get). Some tips: Take breakfast before 9.00am...

I got a good price for this hotel, so I end up disappointed, but not extremely angered. The hotel is certainly well located. But this is not a 4 stars hotel. Plastic glasses in room, cheap linen, cheap bedding, depressing hallways. You are not in any ways staying in a top hotel. I visit Paris regularly and I generally went...

The hotel is situated very centrally in Paris and you can walk (or take the Metro from Chatelet-Les Halles) to anywhere in Paris. Check in was OK but they put me in a smoking room on the 3rd floor overlooking a courtyard. The floor was being refurbished and the workmen were incredibly noisy. I immediately went back to reception and...

We carefully studied hotels in Paris for a 5 day(4 night) stay with our one year son. We soon came to the conculsion that many of tghe hotels in PAris offered what could be best described as cramped bedrooms. On the advice of our travel agent we booked the Novotel and our misconceptions were soon proved wrong. Spacious lobby, bar,...

We stayed in Paris for a week. The rooms are okay but there are buisness facilities on hand. Check-in desk is way too over-crowded. Breakfast is very-good. So close to the Louvre, the Sienne River and behind is the biggest metro stop in Paris: Chatelet - Les Halles. I would choose this hotel for people who like a good start...

We stayed at the Novotel Les Halles for 6 nights in September and were absolutely appalled with it. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the RER/Metro and the ease of getting to/from the airport, and this really is the only thing going for it. We arrived on the train, and the exit that leads directly to the...

After reading previous reviews on this hotel, I could not disagree more with the negative comments. My husband and I just returned from travelling throughout France and Italy. The hotel has recently been renovated in the last couple of years. All rooms in Paris are smaller in size. The staff were very friendly and the location is great. We had...

We stayed at the Novotel Les Halles for 4 nights at the end of a two week trip. Check in was ridiculously slow. We had several suitcases with us since we had been visiting family abroad. There were no bell boys or even any carts for us to use to take our luggage to our room. We had to struggle...

I booked this hotel as it is well known hotel chain. It was our 15th wedding anniversary and wanted something special, and at 480 euros for 2 nights, although quite expensive, thought it would be nice and was willing to pay a little extra as booked a superior room. Got to the hotel and check in was quick and chap...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
