Very nice & new hotel. It is close to everywhere even by walking. Besides that, it is also close to metro stations (lines 6,12,14,4 etc). Very good breakfast and helpful staff. After 6 pm, they offer free wine service (limited bottle) but we couldn't catch it.

It was raining for many of the days I was in Paris, so I was very glad to have a hotel that felt like home. Very professional and friendly staff. The housekeeping was really great and came in every day to make up the bed and clean up way more than I expected. The rooms are small and when they...

I am very pleased to have selected this hotel for our stay in Paris. Location is good, with major metro/train lines nearby. Staff was helpful and welcoming. The rooms are on the small side, but nicely arranged with everything we needed,(including a corkscrew!) Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a cozy, affordable place in Paris.

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a lovely lady who not only told us we could check in early, but they had upgraded our room for free! Our room was very clean and provided everything we needed. Everything was in a good position and it was all very modern. There was a safe in our room which...

Polite and friendly staff. Complimentary evening drink is a nice touch. Great location, we walked to the catacombs. Only slight negative was occasionally hearing upstairs occupants walking on the hard floors. Would stay again.

Reflecting on the best experiences last year, my time in Paris at the Louison is near the top. This historic hotel was the anchor of my trip full of quiet streets, discovering interesting homes that are now museums off the tourist track, and the enjoyment of wonderful dinners in the neighborhood surrounding the hotel (recommended by the Louison guest reception...

I stayed in this hotel for my first trip to Paris in May 2016 and I was very pleased. The room was small but the layout was good. I never had to ask for additional towels or cleaning. The common areas were very stylish and cozy. The location was great!. It was just a short walk to the train station...

This hotel was a refreshing alternative from a typical Sheraton-type establishment. Our room was small but cozy and well appointed. The location, near Gare Montparnasse, provided a perfect base to explore Paris. Breakfast was scrumptious and happy hour d'oeuvres was a nice touch to kick start a splendid Parisian nightlife. A shout out to staff (Pierre + the breakfast guy)...

I am so pleased I found the Louison. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated between Saint Germain des Pres and Montparnasse, the Hotel LOUISON is a chic hotel in the centre of Paris. With nineteenth century furniture, cherry and chestnut tones on the walls, marble floors and a courtyard garden, the Aviatic captures the spirit of the Left Bank in every detail. The hotel was constructed in 1856 to welcome the painters, sculptors and writers who would go on to put the Latin quarter at the very heart of European culture. This cultural heritage is present even in the bedrooms. Tastefully decorated, they generate a feeling of calm and a sensual ambiance. The charming, multilingual staff are always available to provide you with help and advice. They will be happy to offer local insight on art galleries, museums and the area's famous pavement cafes. ... more   less
