We stayed at Le Clement about seventeen years ago, just before 9/11. It was good value for the money then....and still is. Except, the rooms have been updated, tastefully redecorated and the breakfast room remodeled/expanded. Rooms are not big, but comfortable. Even air conditioned. The front desk service is friendly & efficient. The buffet breakfast reasonably priced (a surcharge to...

Excellent location. Clean and cosy rooms, very small though. Very nice and friendly staff. Nice, warm water in the shower, we had no problems with the water flow. We stayed for 5 nights and will definitely recommend it.

First time in Paris in a hotel. We stayed two nights here and througout our visit the staff was really helpfull and service minded (big plus!) They also spoke english. The house itself is old and the corridors, stairs and the elevator are small. The other day elevator was broken. Even if the house is old, they made it look...

The room - basic, nothing fancy but everything functions the way it should. Some might think it's a bit dated, but I find it charming and functioning. Wifi was weak, that's my only downside review. Shower was standard Europe size, no biggie. Location - walkable distance to the Louvre, Notredam, and Jardin Luxembourg. There's a great bakery (Gerard Mulot) in...

I needed a Paris hotel room for a week to fit me and my 2 daughters without breaking the bank - not an easy task. We were fortunate to find this small hotel in the Saint-Germain des Prés area. The Clement Hotel has a Junior Suite on each floor that has a full size bed in one room and an...

The location of this hotel is hard to beat. You can easily walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. You can get to many of the subway lines within a 10 minute walk, one of them within a 2 minute walk. There are good restaurants nearby. The room itself was quite small, but that's to be expected given the location....

Thank you so much for your kind comment about our hotel. Superior double rooms, twin rooms or mini suite junior are a bit larger than standard, tradition or classic rooms. We hope to welcome you during your next trip to Paris. Kind regards,

Budget hotel with a very Parisian feel to the place. Room is basic and not modern, but bathroom is updated and flat screen TV in the rooms. All the personnel encountered in the hotel were very friendly! Location is great, being close to the Louvre and Notre Dame.

Don't expect luxury (or a lift you can fit in) but for the price and location it was a very good hotel. The room was small but clean, the shower was great and the big windows were a pleasant feature. The staff spoke perfect English but we were let down slightly by not being told our floor was being redecorated....

Small clean hotel. Was being decorated when we were there. Small rooms but can't beat the location for the bars and restaurants of the Saint Germain area. Staff very helpful friendly. Good place to get your head down after a night out.

We booked the hotel , following the nice recommendations written here. Most of the information here is true: considering the hotel's price, it is well located, close to 2 metro stations. The rooms were well cleaned, the shower was good, the reception were informative and very nice. We did not feel that the rooms were small. We ordered a standard...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
