If you are looking for an authentic Parisian experience, you must check out Le Dokhan. It is centrally located, which is great for a short to medium length trip. You can easily walk to most of the main sites, and take the metro or cab to some of the night spots. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms feel like...

We stayed here for two nights recently and absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful, a real gem. Rooms are comfy and big enough and the reception staff were really friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. Location is great - right in the heart of Paris and surrounded by cafes and restaurants plus the Metro is a...

We were so delighted with our four night stay at Le Dohkan's. It was lightly snowing the day we arrived, but the fireplace in the reception area was a very welcome sight. The elegance of the hotel's design in the patterns and colors of the French furniture and fabrics was another comfort. The location of the hotel is excellent and...

This small hotel was a "hotel particulier " before the WWII, meaning a private family home. Located in the 16th arrondissment in Paris, it is convenient to 3 metro lines(6,9,2) between Trocadero and Place Victor Hugo. Besides location, the hotel boasts the oldest champagne bar in the city but not the fact that it was the Gestapo headquarter during the...

What a wonderful discovery! We loved our stay here. The hotel had the feel of a private club. The decor is beautiful and wonderfully cosy. The staff were delightful and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room we stayed in was large. We loved it! The breakfast in the morning was a little disappointing which was a shame....

My wife and I stayed in the upstairs suite and were surprised by how much we loved this place. The second half of our trip was spent at a much more luxurious hotel in the 9th and all we kept talking about was how we should have stayed here for the entire trip. The staff were wonderful, the room service...

The Dokhan hotel is a wonderful, almost boutique, hotel in the heart of Paris that has the advantages of being part of Starwood/Marriott. For me, it's the best of both worlds - a lovely boutique hotel, rooms with character, friendly staff, while at the same time the quality assurance that I've come to expect from Starwood's upper end hotels and...

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
