Good location- a 2 minute walk from a metro station and within walking (about 20 minutes) distance from the gare du nord. We arrived late and check in was easy. The room was fine, nothing special but no problems at all. The shower was actually quite good for a hotel. Tea and coffee were provided but only one sachet each...

We stayed in a standard room, which was of decent size (relatively speaking). Room was nice and modern, and pretty clean. Bathroom and shower were also clean and well presented. Service was friendly. We paid for breakfast, and it was decent without being excellent. In terms of location, it was a 2-minute walk to the metro station which was great....

- A very well dedicated team; - A comfortable room (appropriated shower facilities and good size); - A wonderful location (very close to the metro station, good restaurants and tourist area); - Although breakfast was good, the menu was very limited;

Overall, the hotel was a nice place. It is an old building with lots of modern touches. The bedding was not good. The pillows and mattress were incredibly hard. Not just firm, hard! Think of a folded blanket on the floor. That was the bed.

This hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren. The first room we were given was tiny and not the upgrade we were told we had been given. The next room was lovely and a good size for Paris. However it was frustrating that the lift did not work the entire time we were there which was quite difficult as...

I've stayed there for four nights since I went to Paris as a tourist with my boyfriend. The hotel is located in a very comfortable position, since its very close to the Louvre Museum and there's an underground station almost 50metres out of the hotel. People at the front desk (receptionists) were weary kind and friendly, and they gave us...

The hotel is extremely convenient, in the center of Paris. Close to many tube stations and attractions. Looks like a former classic parisian building converted into a trendy hotel. Decoration is modern, despite a bit cheap. Don't look for nice vintage piece of equipment from Le Corbusier or Charles Eames. However, the overall impression is nice. Rooms can be either...

The location of this Mercure Hotel is excellent... but the size of the rooms are ridiculous small and are not worth the 4 stars Mercure claims. No space to move, no space to drop your suitcases or your shopping bags (La Fayette!). The parking is at a stone drop (Bourse) but the charge Euro 40 a day! I know this...

It was a little hard to find but the hotel has a very good location just by the louvre and with lots of restaurants etc around. We were in a three person room and it wasn't too squashed. We did have a toilet that didn't shut off, the room was always really hot and the lighting was really bad. I...

Great place, good value for service in general. The hotel is in a old building, but refurbished. My room was comfortable. Everything worked well. Remarkable is the localization. Easy access by taxi, metro, train,bus or car! Gret staff.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
