Having made a mistake with train bookings and finding ourselves with no place to stay at 7 pm it was a huge relief to be able to walk into the Mercure and book an excellent room from your friendly and efficient Iranian receptionist. I believe that this is the most important job in a hotel because it sets the tone...

I booked and paid a room at the hotel Mercure Paris Gare Lyon two months in advance before the trip. Due to family reasons I had to come to Paris two days earlier. The tariff was non-refundable but the hotel had the rooms available with the same rate for the new dates required. I've kindly asked them just to change...

Nice hotel, located super near to the train station, excellent for transportation, though room is not big but it looks new and clean, internet is available, a lot of restaurants outside, it would be a very good choice if Paris is your transit point to somewhere else.

Dear guest, I'm happy to read that you enjoyed your stay at Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon, thank you for sharing it on TripAdvisor. I see that you did appreciate the location of the hotel and as you mention it, there are plenty of good restaurants nearby the hotel; although Le Train Bleu and l'Europeen are the most famous ones!...

As I was on business and the trip was paid for by my employer I stayed in the privelege rooms on the 6th floor. Very nice rooms with free mini bar of soft drinks. Lovely breakfast with attentive staff. Only downside for me was the ironing room on the 2nd floor which was little more than a cupboard. Not cheap...

Pretty much what you'd expect: fairly clean and efficient. I could hear train station security announcements in my room which was a bit annoying. Staff were welcoming but not doting. I wouldn't rush back, unless the location made this exceptionally convenient.

Hotel within station complex but no problems with train noise etc. Standard level of Mercure comfort.Ideal hotel for an overnight by the station. Also good for a central hotel in Paris at a reasonable price.

This Mercure hotel will certainly not impress many ... it might even be disappointing for some travelers as the hotel looks tired in many ways. Nevertheless, with the (bath-) rooms being clean and the bed being comfortable it is not a bad choice given the central location.

Clean, modern, comfortable, free wifi and conveniently located above a mainline train station/public transport links. There are also loads of taxis (and uber) hovering nearby which makes travelling very easy. Over the road, and down the stairs there are a bunch of good cafes and eateries, some open pretty late too.
