Beautifully turned-out boutique hotel, with service that is both personal and nonintrusive. The gentlemen at the front desk were genial and correct, and always seemed to recognize me, even if we had not met. Guests made a point to say good-bye to the waitstaff at...More
I stayed at the François 1er by the end of August for 03 nights, and I must say it was wonderful!!! We feel at home there! And the decoration, the staff, the rooms, everything is wonderful.

This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This
neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.

Ahhhh, there is a perfect spot just down the street, "Philippe et Jean-Pierre" ... and it was recommended by the hotel as a locally owned and managed dining spot appropriate for lunch or dinner. We had dinner and one of the two named owners (Philippe et Jean-Pierre) ran the front of the house and the other the kitchen. We found it to be excellent. Look for the TripAdvisor rankings, you'll be pleased.
