Having stayed in The Marais and near Place Des Vosges on our last two stays, this area was a much edgier experience but one that should be seen. The hotel is close to the Moulin Rouge, Folies Bergeres and the sex shops of the Pigalle. It calms down a lot by the time it reaches the hotel and in the...

Lovely 4 star hotel in great location right beside metro to all major sites in the city. An old fashioned quirky theme to the hotel that had a real french style to it. Staff at reception were more than helpful with guiding us on the right path throughout the city. Price was also decent for the room. Would recommend to...

This is a 10 minute tube ride from the arch de triumph (M2 line) which costs just 4.79€. Its clean, funky and cool inside but if you're a light sleeper take ear plugs as it's near to Pigale which remains the sex-trade area of Paris. The staff are really polite and there is free wifi. Breakfast is served from 6:30...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
