We stayed here for a short break at the beginning of March. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming from reception through bar to breakfast. Talking of breakfast, there was a good selection of continental breakfast items, fruit, eggs and smoked sausage, and two lovely tarts - not great on the figure but a delicious treat for a holiday...

I booked this via Last minute.com, after carefull consideration i selected this hotel mainly because the reviews were average and the website had this down as "higly reccommded", the last time i visited Paris was 10 years ago so i didnt have much idea on best locations etc, so i selected thsi because of location near Eifell tower and Arc...

I booked the Hotel Garden Elysee online for a long weekend birthday treat for a special friend. The fabulous Moulin Rouge was a reasonable cab ride away and the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysee, Arc de Triomphe, Lido, Bateaux Parisiens and Trocadero were all within walking distance. The Hotel was very comfortable and the highlight was undoubtedly the legendary barman Pascal....

I booked for a post Christmas surprise birthday trip. The location teamed with reasonable price tag (Paris isn't infamous for being kind to the pocket) and good reviews sold it. It was easy to get to from CDG via train and metro (The RER B, blue line from CDG to Chatelet Les Halles, then change to RER A, red line...

I had planned a surprise trip for my partner's birthday. After telling him the day before we were due to travel, disaster occurred! That evening he was struck by a sickness bug and we weren't going anywhere! I thought all was lost but by chance I emailed the hotel to see if there was any chance we could reschedule. Alexandre...

Great location, 5 min walk to subway and 7 min walk to The Eiffel Tower, great neighbourhood resturants and bars and very quiet. The hotel was nice for the price and enjoyed its tucked away garden feel. We were able to go to the Eiffel Tower at sunrise and in the evenings as it was right in our neigbourhood!

I stayed at the Garden Elysee with my sexy wife for one night in October. It's a nice hotel in a quiet courtyard. The hotel room was clean and nicely decorated, with a cool bathroom with a powerful shower and bath. Nice flatscreen TV with good choice of channels, showing the English football results! Location was good, just across the...

I stayed at the 4 start Garden Elysee for two nights on business. The hotel is in a quiet road near Trocadero and the Champs Elysee (well, near is relative, but walkable) and lies back off the road and so is even quieter. The entrance and lobby/bar area are promising and I found all the reception staff friendly generally. Sadly,...

The hotel was very nice, very clean and very well positioned, walkin distance to the eiffel tower, arch d triumph and the champs elysees. There is a metro station across the road which was fantastic. The area of Paris is very expensive, somthing which we were not expecting, so be warned!! 10 euro for two coffee's in the hotel bar, very...

positive: the room was really spacous for a Paris hotel room, it was as well as clean and very quiet, the staff was nice and helpful. I slept very well. negative: the furniture in both the room and the bathroom was a little outworn (the cushions of the sofa were fading, the toilet seat was lacking its varnish on several...

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
