I stayed at the 4 start Garden Elysee for two nights on business. The hotel is in a quiet road near Trocadero and the Champs Elysee (well, near is relative, but walkable) and lies back off the road and so is even quieter. The entrance and lobby/bar area are promising and I found all the reception staff friendly generally. Sadly,...

The hotel was very nice, very clean and very well positioned, walkin distance to the eiffel tower, arch d triumph and the champs elysees. There is a metro station across the road which was fantastic. The area of Paris is very expensive, somthing which we were not expecting, so be warned!! 10 euro for two coffee's in the hotel bar, very...

positive: the room was really spacous for a Paris hotel room, it was as well as clean and very quiet, the staff was nice and helpful. I slept very well. negative: the furniture in both the room and the bathroom was a little outworn (the cushions of the sofa were fading, the toilet seat was lacking its varnish on several...

My room at this hotel was clean and pleasant, though the room of one of my colleagues was small and poorly decorated. Breakfast was fine and staff were helpful.

It looked lovely on the website so we booked a suite as a treat! VERY expensive at over 500 euros a night. The room was just a normal double really, the shower door didnt close properly so we flooded the bathroom every time we used it. The room service menu was covered in sticky chocolate finger marks and the view...

What a fab find. Set back from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of Paris, this little gem scored top marks on every level. The room was a good size and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and we were met with a big smile when we arrived. We didn't eat there so I...

Hotel was excellent. Staff were all polite, courteous and very informative. Location is wonderful for walking to major sights or catching the metro. Enjoyed my stay very much and can't wait to go back and would consider staying at the same hotel again in a heartbeat.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is situated very near to the tourist spots. Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, River Seine boat rides and Champs-Élysées are all within walking distance. Coupled with the all-encompassing Metro system of Paris, you can reach pretty much anywhere you want by purchasing a multi-day Paris Visite pass, which can be...

I stayed in this hotel at the beginning of August 2011, when my husband and I visited Paris for 3 days. It is located on a quiet street off Kepler Avenue, which makes it ideal for visiting Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower, and the Arch of Triumph. It is also very close to a metro station, which, for us, made commuting...

We booked this hotel for our anniversary trip and it was worth it! The hotel is lovely; modern/contemporary decor in the public and private areas. The room was large by European standards (somehwat small by American standards, however, the bathroom was spacious for a hotel by any standard. The location was perfect--right in between the Effiel Tower and the Champs...

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
