My husband and I stayed for 8 days and at the end of the day the hotel was a perfect "homecoming". We started the day with a great included breakfast with choices of cheese, sliced meat, yogurt, boiled egg, baked goods including croissants and baguettes, fresh fruit, mixed fruit bowl, great coffee, and lovely jams/jellies.Our room overlooked the Boulevard with...

We have visited Paris many times and stayed in a variety of hotels but now we have found Au Manoir St Germain de Pres we will not look for another place to stay. It's position is great, the hotel is full of character, scrupulously clean, with an excellent breakfast and helpful staff.

We stayed in a deluxe room and the first night was configured with a long narrow entrance area with a single bed and the bedroom with a queen bed. Since we had booked with a king bed we requested to move which they did the following 3 nights. The rooms had recently been remolded and were very comfortable, including great...

Our first trip to Paris and decided to stay in the Saint Germain De Pres area which led us to the Au Manoir. Was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the updated modern bathroom! Our room had large windows that opened, but we were on the 2nd floor and our view was the back side of the...

Good location, but rooms very tired and in need of updating. Changed bed sheets only every 3 nights, bathroom in poor condition, no turndown, and all this for only 300 euro...what a bargain??????????? Agree with earlier review on staff, found exactly the same, old guy at reception terrible and grumpy, but young chap helpful. Far better value elsewhere, try Odeon...

Beautiful, quaint hotel. The St Germain de Pres area beautiful to walk through. Lovely breakfast room. Our only complaint was initial older gentleman at reception- very unfriendly, not even a greeting when he sees you. Blondine, a lovely member of staff, who fixed my airconditioning was great. The younger gentleman at reception on our departure was very kind and courteous....

I read all of these reviews and spent the extra to book based on the reviews. It is still a Best Western even if they put Premier in front of it. It is missing the charm of the local Parisian Hotels. It still smells of the smoke that used to exist in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and large,...

We enjoyed our stay and would return (if we got a discount rate). Typical european hotel (don't let the "best western" name confuse you) with stacked floors and tiny elevator (as a family, several of us would walk up/down the stairs). Front desk staff helped us with dinner reservations, taxis, etc. Breakfast buffet (included in our price) was typically french...

Our one night stay here was great. The staff was very helpful, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast was tasty, and the St. Germain neighborhood was very fun to walk around and explore. There are several world-famous cafes within a few blocks of the hotel. The Eiffel tower was pretty far away but the Louvre and Notre Dame were...

Stayed in room 602 which I booked special because I wanted to look out at the Cafes and the Church and the rooftops, and the room also had 2 big windows with french doors(plus it was a superior room and it fit my budget better). Its on the top floor so it had the romantic mansard roof which added alot...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
