The Crowne Plaza Paris - Republique, an IHG Hotel, garners high marks for its prime location with easy access to the metro, favored by guests for simplifying their explorations of Paris. While the hotel's cleanliness and varied breakfast options are often praised, some guests have voiced concerns over the room amenities and the occasional small and noisy room. Although the hotel exudes a clean and elegant vibe, opinions on value are mixed, with several travelers questioning the price-to-service ratio. Staff service is generally regarded as excellent, albeit with rare instances of dissatisfaction.

We stayed in this hotel for my 30th birthday and our first time in Paris.
All I can say is that we had an absolutely amazing stay and my birthday was a one to remember.
The staff were brilliant, from the lady who checked us in, to the lovely bar staff who looked after us for both nights, to the helpful housekeeping staff and the staff who checked us out and helped with our luggage.
Everyone was so professional , welcoming and overall so nice.
The hotel is very nice and clean, the rooms were nice and quiet as well and we had a lovely juiliette balcony with views of the parisian streets.
The hotel's location is brilliant, the metro stop is literally outside of the hotel and it's extremely easy to get around and see all of the attractions.
We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Paris.
Thank you to the whole team for a lovely stay.

After our apartment that we booked through a popular company that books apartments fell through at the last minute, I booked our family (two aduts, 1 teen, 2 rooms) into the Crowne Plaza. It was a fine stay, and I can recommend it for anyone that wants a clean and very comfortable room in an excellent location very close to Metro lines that can take you anywhere in the city in 15-20 minutes. It wasn't a "wow" in any way, but you won't be unhappy. We stayed in an executive room which faced the pretty inner courtyard and had very large windows in the bedroom and the bathroom, all with blackout curtains. It was very quiet except for the last night when a big concert was set up in the Place de la République but there's nothing the management could do about that, of course. For an executive room, the bathroom was a little small but the shower was really nice which made up for it. Strangely, the toilet room was around the corner from the bathroom and had no sink in it, so that was a bit annoying. Unlike other reviewers, our room did have closets, but no dresser to unpack, so we just lived out of our suitcases. The wifi worked well. A bonus for Americans: there is actually an ice machine on most floors of this hotel!

Where the property was really let down was the club room. Tiny, windowless, and pretty much without amenities, it was a huge disappointment. The breakfast was ok, though quite chaotic with the masses of families. The options never changed, so after a couple days it wasn't something to look forward to. The lobby always seemed to have tons of people in it hanging out standing and blocking the way to get to the rooms, which wasn't fun.

We stayed here for four nights. Republic Metro stop right outside and easy to navigate all round Paris - only three stops from Gard de Nore and then direct train to airport. We had a room on the third floor overlooking an internal courtyard (one that couldnt be access so was very quiet. Had our window open at night. The bed was very comfy and the room was very spacious (think they are quite variable at this hotel after reading other reviews). Fridge in room so could buy our own milk and water - hotel only supplies two teabags and two sachets of coffee a day with only two milks. Only get one of those stupid wooden stirrers which are useless for teabags must remember a teaspoon next time.

Nice comfortable bar area which was nice to use between returning to the hotel and going out to dinner. Can't comment on the food or breakfast as we didn't use it.

It rained very heavily one night but luckily the hotel had umbrellas that we could borrow.

As expected you can leave luggage here on arrival and departure days.

Would fully recommend this hotel and we walked to most of the attractions we wanted to visit but Paris does have a very easy and navigatable Metro system with each journey costing E1.90 and machines that translate into English.

IHG members - my husband is a Diamond Elite member. We booked a double room and was definitely upgraded to a King. The Welcome Amenity at check in of free breakfast, points or drink/snack was not mentioned/offered. Later checking his statement he had got the points but we were not given the choice of what we would like. To be honest the woman at the dedicated IHG check in desk hardly acknowledged us.

Booked a three day stay with family for a trip to Paris.

From start to finish this was a nightmare stay. Check in took 25 minutes (not including queuing, this was from the point of interaction with the receptionist.) First he checked in my children and gave them their room key, they then had to return to reception (after going to the third floor and returning - he was STILL trying to check me in.) The key he had given them was for a room already occupied - they had entered the room and the poor female occupant was just emerging from the shower. He said he had written the wrong room number on their card but this could not be the case as the key he gave them had unlocked the door.
It then took another 10 minutes for him to finish trying to check me in. He said he would upgrade us to a more superior room to compensate but then was unable to work the system to do this.
It took three attempts to approve my credit card due to a problem with their machine.

I had contacted the hotel prior to arrival to ask for rooms with nice views of the square, I mentioned this to him on arrival and he said he was aware, but one room had a view of the side street and one of the inner courtyard.

I checked that I had included breakfast in the rate after we returned from dinner on the first day, and was advised it was included. On arrival at breakfast the next morning there was an issue with one of the rooms, which they said had not paid for breakfast! (But the other room had it included?)

On the second day of the three day stay my kids returned to their room to find a letter in there saying they should contact reception early as there was a problem with my credit card (the credit card has plenty of credit and no problems using it anywhere else in Paris. TO add insult to injury it's an IHG card!)

I went to reception and it appeared this was still to do with the problem with their machine on check in. I don't know why they decided they should communicate this to my kids and not to me!

Final straw was on the last night, when we went to bed after returning from eating out, my wife's pyjamas had disappeared from the room (she left them on the pillow of the bed - I guess housekeeping took them by mistake when they changed the sheets?)

I advised reception in the morning and they said they would arrange for housekeeping to set them aside and return them. On returning to the hotel late afternoon to collect our bags nothing had been done about it, I had to go through the whole story again with the same guy I spoke to in the morning, who spoke to housekeeping and then apologised and said the pyjamas would have been sent to the laundry and there was nothing they could do about it. (I guess we're just supposed to swallow the cost of these expensive pyjamas then?) He then asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, I said I would, but he then couldn't find the manager, so sent another receptionist to speak with me who maintained there was nothing he could do about it.

I use IHG hotels all the time but I definitely wouldn't stay here again, it was the worst experience I have had with this chain.

Very poor service for an expensive hotel. Our room's mini-fridge didn't work properly. My child takes medication that requires refrigeration and I bring a thermometer to monitor the temperature. The mini-fridge was far too cold. I called the front desk at 8:00 am, explained the problem, and they promised to replace it early in the day so it would be cold and ready by the time we returned. Got back at 6:00 pm and the broken fridge was still there and no one had any idea what I was talking about. Even though I had explained how important it was that this fridge be replaced, nothing had been done. Had to leave my child's medication in the refrigerator behind their front desk overnight (and according to my wifi thermometer, that refrigerator was almost too warm to keep the medication safe). My second night there, I had to replace my room key and the only person at the front desk spent 5 solid minutes chatting with another guest about fun things to do in Paris while I stood and waited. And waited. He never paused to ask what I needed. Instead, he decided to volunteer even more unsolicited suggestions to the guest. Once he jumped on his computer to "print out some extra information you might find interesting" I walked away - and he simply did not care. Coffee machine in the room didn't work. The breakfast room was overly crowded and my family couldn't find seats twice. The bathrooms in our room weren't heated (no vents in the shower area or the separate toilet area). My room was booked for three guests but there were only enough towels, bathrobes, and slippers for two. When I'm paying $400+ a night, there should already be enough towels for each guest, and at that price, maybe provide more than one hand towel and one bath towel per guest? Some of us like washcloths. Just stay somewhere else.

Complete satisfaction for this recent Parisian escape at the well positioned and managed Crowne Plaza . As a family of four , we opted for the executive king with king size bed and comfortable pull out sofa , powerful walk- in rain shower , Nespresso coffee machine , large smart tv and inner courtyard view .
Excellent American breakfastbuffet with egg and pancake station, as well as all day complimentary drinks in a private lounge are included in the rate when booking executive accomodation.
Very centrally located as well , with Metro République opposite the hotel entrance.
Prior to arrival we informed the front office about our 25th anniversary .
A truly fine bottle of Chablis on ice and selection of delicious macarons were delivered to our room , compliments of Crowne Plaza , so highly appreciated !

Very good location at the Place de la République near the junction of the 10th, 11th and 3rd Arrondissements; near tourist attractions but not far from areas where real Parisians live, as evidenced by lines at local boulangeries and patisseries. Excellent access to public transportation with République Metro stop just outside.
Rooms are decent-sized by Parisian standards, with high ceilings and are pleasantly furnished. Rooms facing inner courtyards are preferred over those facing the busy, and sometimes noisy, street.
Concierge was easily available and very helpful with suggestions and guidance. Complimentary buffet breakfast was outstanding, with broad variety of options including fresh fruit, just-baked breads, omelette station, etc.

Honestly, we are here for 5 days and are just extremely underwhelmed by the service and the room. We get advised there was a mix up with the rooms when we get here and the rooms we got are different than what we booked and discussed. We get to our room and the AC doesn’t work, water pours out of the shower, and the room is basically a dungeon with no shelves or drawers or anything. The room just has a dirty feel to it, mildew in the bathroom and a lot of paint touch up spots everywhere. We told the front desk about the AC and the water pouring out of the shower onto the carpet and the floor and were advised that they would put a fan in the room, which they never did, and as far as the shower goes, they said they couldn’t do anything. They would not change our rooms or anything at all. We flew 14 hours for this and the customer service and hotel is just extremely underwhelming.

We are usually not ones to complain but the lack of customer service and care from IHG is really pour. We tried to address this in house before writing a review but it seems like no one cares.

Hello Mr. Redondo, Unfortunately I could not find your reservation on our system but I will follow up with the different teams. We will thus discuss with the reception and the technical service the following subjects: The room at the C/I, the category of room, the follow-up concerning the unrepaired air conditioning or the absence of intervention in your shower and with the Housekeeping and the direction, the general look of your room. To begin with, we obviously apologize and as soon as I can get my hands on your reservation, I will be able to have more information and analyze possible compensation, Best Regards, The Guest Relation team

We expect a minimum standard when we check into an IHG Hotel, especially Crowne Plaza . This one at Paris was most disappointing and their "care less" attitude is an insult . The Hotel is very well located right in the centre of the square

As a diamond card holder and subscription to an upgrade ( for which I paid) , the room was far from satisfactory and not moneys worth . The room is tiny and packed with useless furniture and a large bed. At the end of the table is a sofa set ( can be converted to a bed) . The sofa is just about 2/3 ft from the coffee machine ( which malfunctioned several times - it was trial and error situation to make it work) . On first day I complained and they said there was insufficient water . Second day I filled it to the brim - same problem. A few thumps and it worked . Repeated on other days

Now as you sit on the sofa ( back to the front of the bed) one would expect to see the TV no , the sofa faces the the bathroom. If you want to watch TV you turn your head 90 Degree .

It was quite cold and the heater despite being turned on to maximum , was insufficient to heat .

The location is very good ; staff not so helpful. None of my electrical gadgets fitted the sockets . I had to go and buy adapters as hotel do not stock. The hotel did have one but not compatible and wanted € 6 for using it . Breakfast was lavish ; there is no restaurant in the hotel , except a cafe. Food was good

My wife and I checked in early in the morning, following an all night flight from New York. We reserved 3 nights using IHG award nights and were upgraded to a lovely, large, recently refurbished room overlooking the courtyard. Aida, who checked us in, was extremely helpful everyday. The location was excellent for accessing the Paris Metro and there were many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!
