This hotel oozes old-world charm and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The central location meant easy access of the RER line from Charles de Gaulle airport. The hotel is barely a block away from the Luxembourg station. Like most Parisian hotels it is "compact" The lift can take 2 cases and 1 person. We did have a balcony that...

For Parisian standars this is a good hotel. Its asset is the location: quiet street, closely located to Jardins de Luxemburg and Cartier Latin. Room was clean but small. Staff was helpful. The only thing I did not like was that when I asked for a reference for a good restaurant in the neighborhood, the man in the reception not...

Stayed for three nights in June 2016. As mentioned, the Luxembourg metro station is minutes from the hotel, and location is certainly Jardins best feature. Our room was a bit cramped for size but adequate. We were just next to the elevator so other rooms may be larger . We had a lovely view of a rooftop garden across the...

The hotel is a short RER ride from Gare du Nord, in a nice area with many restaurant options. Shower has no curtain, tricky to avoid a wet mess, but otherwise fine. Reliable internet in the room. Breakfast was OK, nothing special.

Dear Brienanni, Thank you for sharing your opinion about Hotel Les Jardins de Luxembourg and specially about our bathtubs with a shower component & breakfast. For all of our readers our current breakfast is composed of French pastries, natural orange juice, organic milk, a great variety of season fruits, large choice of marmalades and jams, nutella, eggs & bacon. Very nice hotel next to gardens and short walk to the Latin Quarter, I prefer this area due to direct rail link to CDG airport and local metro is close to, room had drinks fridge which is handy, I usually put hotel drinks in the wardrobe and fill with my own booze from the supermarket

I stayed at this hotel when I was visiting Paris to give a talk at a university. When I arrived at the hotel and unzipped my purse, I realized that my wallet had been stolen (at Gare du Nord). The lady at the desk was very helpful and supportive. She called Gare du Nord for me and helped me in...

It's an historic hotel in a magnificent location with lovely staff. The "Impasse" is a lovely little side street that ends in a gated apartment building. It is not quiet, but it is beautifully peaceful. We spent an afternoon in the room with the window open, and it was like a cliché of Parisian tourism. There's a grubby but agreeable...

Hotel les Jardins du Luxembourg is a small but very nice three star hotel that gives you good value for your money. We recieved perfect service and got a very nice room. My favourite place in Paris is the Luxembourg gardens, and the hotel is situated just beside them. It was a bit to chilly in mars to really enjoy...

I was booked in to this hotel by my client, I probably wouldn't have chosen it for a business trip myself but I am glad my client chose it. It is typically Parisian with quaint balconies but slightly on the small side. I was told by reception that my room was one of the best. Situated on the 5th floor,...

This hotel is in the beautiful Saint Germain. Next to the gardens and still central. It is one minute walk (exit Gay-Lussac) from Luxembourg RER station. So, it is super easy access from CDG airport (train ticket costs 10 euro). The staff is great: friendly and helpful and speak English too. The beds and bed linen are amazing quality. Rooms...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
