Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we were checked in quickly, with minimal fuss. The reception staff were very helpful with directions and reccomendations on where to eat. Our room was small but perfectly adequate and clean with a modern feel. Breakfast was of a continental nature and was sufficicent for a days sightseeing ahead....

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was clean and nicely presented throughout; given the price of some other hotels we had looked at, we felt this offered us good value for money without compromising on location. The rooms are small but have everything you need for a sound base to explore the city. Having said that, if you're...

This hotel was a great find. The room was not large by NA standards but was comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean & useable. The front staff / desk managers were extremely helpful (we found ourselves in the middle of France’s national strikes and they offered valuable info regarding revising our travel plans). The hotel was located in a perfect...

Stayed for 3 nights on a romantic break. Great location and very easy to get to from C G Airport. 3 minutes from train station. Check in was quick with helpful staff. The rooms were not big and the bathroom was compact, this is what you would expect in the centre of Paris. We had a room that looked out...

The room is SMALL, as noted by everyone. But there is small, and there is REALLY small. This hotel has rooms that are the latter. Hard to get the luggage in the room, and let me tell you about the bathroom...there is about three inches between the toilet and the tub. If you are using the toilet, you have to...

This hotel is in a great location (Latin Quarter) and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Our original room was incredibly small (to be expected in Europe), but when the desk clerk realized we had booked ten nights there, the hotel automatically moved us to a larger room for our comfort. Clean, clean and safe! Would definately stay there...

We spent three nights here and found it a very pleasent stay. Since I don't enjoy spending most of our time in transit to the hotel we were able to take the train directly from the airport to just a couple of blocks away without a transfer to another train. This hotel is located very close to many of the...

Based on Tripadvisor reviews, we selected this hotel about a week ago for a stay this week. We couldn't have done better. The hotel is perfectly situated in the Latin Quarter and a block from a Metro station. Our room even had a view of the bell towers of Notre Dame. Although the room was small by American standards, it...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
