The hotel is very, very conveniently located, right across from the Louvre and with easy access to some of the most inspiring neighborhoods of Paris. The staff is also very friendly. The hotel is a bit tired by all in all still acceptable for Paris. Street noise insulation is good. Rooms are small but doable. Breakfast is, for the price...

Husband and I stayed here September 7-13, third Paris trip. We've stayed in 1st before and wanted to try the Rive Gauche this time. Also we sought a hotel with Seine views and came across HQV. Thanks to TA, I felt we knew exactly what we were getting. And we liked it even better. It is only 30-some rooms, and...

Dear Mr and Mrs Tournesol, Thank you very much for your nice comments. It is always a real pleasure to see our guests enjoying the hotel and their stay. Just for your information we do have a room service for breakfast in the room and also for dinners. Maybe next time you could experience it. And should you need anything...

We stayed four nights on a family vacation. Great view over the river from L3. Room clean and adequately appointed. Bed was good. Walking distance to the Louvre and plenty of good restaurants (head right out of hotel!). Staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was nice, esp the fresh orange juice. I'd go again.

Very close to attractions and right across the road from the Louve. Small rooms as one would expect in Paris but fabulous views. very clan and comfortable. Reception very helpfull in suggestions...

This hotel is right on the banks of the river, and all the rooms have views of the Siene. So inexpensive, for Paris, that I had low expectations. However, the hotel is very comfortable. Rooms are small, as usual in Europe, and the hotel is a few blocks from a metro stop. But the location is ideal, and the views...

Small hotel and very small rooms. Anyway we were pleased with our choice of the hotel. The location of the hotel is everything you need if you want to experience Paris by walking. The room was clean but very small.

We chose this hotel due to the price, location and reviews that were OK. We expected small rooms but were happy that ours did not feel small. It was not high end but it was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and both were very clean. Furniture a bit old (side shelf falling off wall) and lovely squeaky floor. Though...

Room was very clean, staff was excellent. I thought the menu was a bet pricey, but the food was delicious and fresh. Walking distance to Louvre and approx. 1 mile to the Eiffel Tower and maybe the same in opposite direction for Notre Dame. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's about location, bus stop across the street, the...

Rooms and very small and bathrooms are quite outdated but the views are really lovely and the location made it easy for us to get around. I wish there were more restaurants in the immediate neighborhood but it's a good location for getting to a lot of other areas. Great option for the price and is definitely a great value.

This hotel is in a perfect location to make the most of a sightseeing trip to Paris. It's a little pricey but it's so close to many attractions, particularly the Musee D'Orsay and Louvre, which means you don't waste time travelling. Access to the metro is also convenient and the area is very safe. Rooms were spacious (for Paris) and...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
