We stayed here for one night before leaving Paris. We had three adults, and got a room with three twin beds. The room was large enough for us, and the bathroom also reasonably sized. The staff was helpful. The hotel lobby and decor was Beautiful. I would stay there again if I wanted to be in that part of the...

This tiny hotel is a great choice for a stay on the heart of Paris. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and even have air conditioning. The breakfast room is tiny but they serve you in your room too apparently. The breakfast is mostly Croissants, Baguettes, yogurt and the like but the very friendly attendant will fix you eggs and make...

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are SMALL. I never thought I would say that aNYC hotel room is big. But they are BIG compared to these rooms. The location seems to make up for it, along with the very helpful staff at the front desk. The WIFI connection was less than sufficient.

This was our second trip to Paris. Last time we stayed near The eiffel tower last time and wanted a place more centrally located this time. Hotel Lutece as perfect! We had to pay a little more for location but felt it was worth the money. We did not take the metro the entire Paris visit.....and it was nice to...

I normally stay in the lively Latin quarter with all the outdoor bistro's full at night. But this time I wanted something quiet and a bit secluded - and to be honest, something that would be least likely for a terrorist attack. I also wanted something romantic, as I was taking my wife of her first visit to Paris. So...

Wonderful location. We could walk almost everywhere or use the metro to get around. Train to Versailles close too. Very quiet at night. Helpful staff. Small grocery next door for snacks and drinks. Many restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend.

I loved this hotel the last time I visited and so looked forward to staying there again. My daughter, grand daughter and I spent a week in Paris and at this hotel. What a great location. We woke to the sound of birds singing outside our window and never heard busy city noises from our room. Isle Saint Louis is...

For the price and location, this hotel is top-notch. I stayed during my fifth visit to Paris over Easter weekend in 2016--had always wanted to stay on one of the islands, the original Paris! The hotel is a short walk from the RER/Metro at Notre Dame which makes for a beautiful welcome to the city when you emerge from underground....

Spent a weekend at this Hotel at Ile Saint Louis and couldn't find fault. All the staff very extremely pleasant, the room was beautiful, clean throughout and the fact we could only say hello and goodbye in French was not a problem. Situated only a few hundered metres from the Notre Dame but in a wonderful side street just over...

Hotel d Lutece is a very nice hotel in a very nice area with very nice staff with very nice rooms and very nice bathrooms. If you stay for a few days, you get the feel of a neighborhood instead of a tourist area as there is a bakery and cheese store across the street, a pastry shop and sorbet...

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
