the location couldn't get any better. the staff were really nice and helpful and the breakfast was cheap and good enough. Nice, fresh and home made croissants indeed! Coffee was good too. The room I had was on top floor and the smell of damp was a bit annoying but overall was a nice stay.

Rooms were quite small but cozy. Service worked well and I was offered to change room with better view if I wanted. Only things that bothered were that wifi signal was quite poor in my room and it kept disconnecting every now and then (worked well in lobby) and (Im not hippie or anything) they kept changing my towels even...

We spent two nights in this hotel immediately after Christmas 2012. The room was not large, but it was large enough. It was also clean, modernly furnished and comfortable. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. We didn't take the breakfast, which was an option, only because less expensive options were nearby. The hotel is 5-minutes walking distance from...

Most of the reviews of this hotel on this site nailed it. Its location is ideal, the rooms are cosy (quite warm) but sufficient, the staff are unobtrusive but extremely helpful, the breakfast is OK for 10 euro if you'd rather eat in the hotel, and the wifi is intermittent on the upper floors but great downstairs. Altogether, good value,...

I took my girlfriend to Paris for two days over New Years, and stayed here. Though they only had one triple room left, we pushed the beds together and there was no problem. Reception was helpful with the booking, check-in was incredibly swift, the room was clean and neat, and tidied each day. Bathroom facilities great, big windows with a...

Fab hotel and great value for money which is hard to find in Paris for such a good location! It's clean, you can walk everywhere but if a metro trip is needed, it is right on your doorstep also. It's right off boulevard st germain which has some lovely shops and restaurants and it is located by Notre Dame and...

This hotel is centrally located right in the Latin Quarter, a quick walk to many restaurants, the Pantheon and Notre Dame. It is clean, the rooms are modern and have nice views and the staff is helpful and friendly. It also has free wi-fi in the rooms and a computer in the lobby for guests. No free breakfast, which we...

This is a great hotel considering its price. Location: The location is perfect, just a block from Bd Saint-Germain, 5' from Notre Dame. Service: Very good, all of them speak good English and they are very helpful. I had read in tripadvisor that the top floor rooms with the balcony were the best and although they had booked us on...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
