Double room was as whereever in Paris not big. This I was prepared for, so in comparison with other hotels in Paris it is on average. Small. Very service minded staff. Possible to buy breakfast at hotel which I did not do. Paid 190 euros each night which I think is overvalued in comparison to what a simalar hotel I...

We stayed in Hotel Delavigne for four nights on our recent trip to Paris. We arrived after flying straight from New Zealand and were glad we got the taxi rather than public transport as it was a little difficult to find. We had a triple room which we shared with our 18 year old daughter and it was a little...

Two friends living in another country and I had a small reunion at this small hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter. They stayed in a double and I had a single. They were excellent by Paris standards with the bathroom as big as my single. The windows were soundproofed and even though the street is generally quiet anyway,...

I stayed in this hotel for a business trip for one night. the room was small but the area was fantastic and so convenient. I liked the fact that everything that was done was done well. Breakfast was simple but nice just bread and croissants but nice bread and croissants. The bathroom was small but very well stocked with tolietries....

We stayed in this hotel for one night, the night was the Fete de La Musique, so a very noisy night in central Paris. The rooms would have been quiet due to the double glazing however I didn't discover the window was open a crack until the early hours of the morning. Despite this small hiccough we thought this was...

This was the perfect hotel for us. Great location, old world charm and a warm friendly staff. It was everything we hoped for. Yes the rooms are small and the double beds a little shorter than we are used to but thatt is what we expected. The staff spoke excellent english, and went out of their way to help us...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in December 2006 while carrying out some Christmas shopping. We've stayed in the same area several times and like it a lot. It's fairly easy to get to from the Gare du Nord (Eurostar), and is a quiet and affluent feeling area but close to lively restaurant areas, the Seine, Musee d'Orsay...

We arrived at the hotel on tuesday and had a very good opinion entering the lobby but the room was too small for our four beds, we had to walk over the beds to go to sleep. The first day the room was clean and we had clean towels that were never replaced for the five days we remained there,...

I am a regular leisure visitor to Paris. This hotel is excellent for the price and location. Remember, you are not in your room long. As with all low price Paris hotelsin good locations the rooms including bathrooms are small. This was no exception. It was clean, well fitted out with shelves, wardrobe, safe, TV, hairdrier. One minor complaint was that...

We stayed at this hotel after having a disasterous one night stay in a Yellowstay apartment. I called from the God aweful apartment and attempted to make a reservation. The desk clerk stated that he had one room available. I asked if there were cafes around the hotel and he replied "of course, we're in the middle of the city."...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
