My husband and I stayed in the superior room with a balcony. The room and bathroom were a good size. The building is old and there are some things that make it quite evident; the lift is tiny and bounces. The place was decorated nicely in a Parisian style. In a good location, easy to get bus/metro from, and staff...

This hotel is well situated and the staff were friendly but the walls were thinner than paper so, if you value a good night's sleep, you might want to consider staying somewhere else.

I stayed at the Plaza Opera with my homies for my 30th birthday. We didn't want to spend too much money on the accomodation in order to spend more in shopping, so we found the Plaza Opera. We didn't expect our hotel to be fancy or even clean according to the price we paid. And that's where we were wrong,...

'This is Paris there is no air conditioning'. 'This is Paris it is noisy.'. These are the responses I got when I asked about the lack of air conditioning and noise from having to keep the doors open during my stay. That was on the accommodations side (small rooms). Additionally I had to pay $50 Euros for a 2 hour...

A group of students I was leading was unexpectedly stranded in Paris, and we were booked into the Plaza Opera at the last minute. The hotel was welcoming and helpful: the staff was friendly and understood the predicament we were in. When two members of the party were stuck in the airport overnight due to visa problems, the hotel didn't...

This hotel was a good option in terms of location. The room was basic but sufficient. the breakfast was also basic although with delicious croissants. All in all, I see this hotel as an option taking into account the location and how expensive Paris can be.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
