European hotels can be a bit disarming at first. That is, the hotel is located in an alley... with several other hotels. The elevator did not have enough room for both us and our average amount of luggage. We had to send our luggage separately. Our room was small by U.S. standards (not European standards), and it's unclear that the...

We had 2 nights here. It is in excellent location, quiet street off the Grand Boulevard metro station. Super restaurant selection on the doorstep. Friendly staff and clean but tiny room (well this is Paris). Wifi was free for each item, but not great reception in our room. Will definitely come back.

Visited in March- cool, beautiful weather- perfect for sightseeing. This hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the Seine River, near the Louvre, in the Opera district. Numerous great restaurants less than 5 minute walk away. The hotel is clean and always staffed with English speaking staff. Breakfast was good. The lift (elevator) is only large enough for 1-2...

Awesome location near public transportation - easy to get to anywhere in the city. The hotel staff were friendly and fun. Rooms were a tight squeeze for three of us, but we made it work. The area around the hotel has lots of amazing food options - from meals to gelato, crepes, etc. Definitely check out the Les Fils a...

Bed sheets with stains and holes. Pre-opened shampoo. Very small room. Uncomfortable and old bed. Only one window looking to the opposing wall. No sound soundproofing as you could hear people to the room next to you breathing...... Polite personnel.

It was a great stay. The rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic. Lots of places to eat and close to the Opera Garnier and Galeries Lafayette. Went with the family and always felt safe. Didier was very gracious and friendly.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
