Filled with tour groups and airline crews, the Meridien is a large modern hotel at the edge of Paris that checks off the boxes of what you need in a hotel but offers very little character or charm. The large lobby feels like an airport (entered through a classic airport revolving door!), hallways are endlessly long, rooms have low ceilings and my room was dark and decorated in shades of black and gray. While relatively large, the room also was poorly laid out with a large empty space without furnishings or a rack to hold luggage. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, I was upgraded and given access to the Meridien "lounge" which consisted of a roped off area in the main dining room that was open from breakfast to early evening and included a vey limited buffet spread and access to coffee or drinks that could only be ordered through a single attendant, making it inconvenient to get beverages in a timely manner. I'm not sure if this is the permanent lounge or if this was a temporary set up. It seemed like the latter. On the plus side, the hotel service is attentive, from the front desk to the concierge. There are water dispensers and ice machines (a real rarity in France) on each hallway. The hotel's location seems like it is on the edge of Paris but is actually well connected to the city's excellent transportation network. The Porte Maillot metro stop is at the Palais des Congres across the street and the Etoile is just a 10 minute walk, with access to a huge transit hub (multiple metro lines and RER) as well as the Champs Elysees. Depending on your budget and the differential between rates at hotels in central Paris, the Meridien could be a perfectly good option. Just don't expect to be wowed.

Hotel room is comfortable. They provided us 2 bottles of water which we could bring it outside and refill drinking water with the machine on the corridor.

Shout out to Steve bellman who assisted us with our luggages and requests. He was really nice, friendly and outstanding in regards to his service mind was different from others. Thank you again Steve. Keep up your good work!

Hotel is only a few minute far from Neuilly - Porte Maillot train station which make it easier for those who use a public transportation either Metro or RER.

Thank you for the hospitality!

Situated directly across from the Palais des Congrès shopping mall and conveniently served by Metro Line 1 and RER C, this hotel offers an unbeatable location. The world-famous Champs-Élysées is just a short Metro ride or a pleasant 20-minute walk away, while the vibrant Avenue des Ternes, with its abundance of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets, is right on your doorstep.

The hotel's staff, from the front desk to the concierge, porters, and restaurant personnel, are exceptionally accommodating. Each room is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities, including a hairdryer, iron, tea-coffee maker, safe deposit box, and a mini-fridge. The en-suite bathroom and shower are impeccably clean and feature stylish toiletries. Complimentary bottled water is provided, though Paris' tap water is safe to drink.

The hotel's expansive dining area offers a delightful variety of breakfast options, from hot and cold dishes to fresh fruits and a selection of beverages. Enjoy gourmet coffees, including cappuccinos and espressos, or indulge in a custom-made omelet prepared by the hotel's talented chef.

I wouldn't hesitate to book again at this hotel.

We had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. The staff at check-in were very polite and graciously linked my three separate one-night bookings into one, despite them being different room types. The room was clean and nicely appointed and had a view of the Eiffel Tower (see attachment). We experienced no noise issues at all during our stay. As a Platinum member I was able to use the executive lounge, which appears to have been refurbished, and there were snacks and wine available from 6pm to 8pm. Importantly, during our stay the lounge was never full, and had a nicely relaxing vibe. The buffet breakfast available in the morning is excellent (try the vegetable samosas and ham/cheese croissants), however it was quite noisy and busy at all times I visited, and showed a good cross section of guest demographics, which appeared mostly to be North Americans of advanced age and airline staff.

Lastly this is simply an excellent location. There are plenty of dining choices within easy walking distance. You can walk around the corner to Avenue des Champs-Élysées and everything that offers, and we even walked to the Eiffel Tower without issue (we are in our 40s). And since our stay coincided with the French Open, it was something like 10 minutes or less by Uber to Roland Garros Stadium.

To summarize I think this hotel offers everything you need to enjoy sightseeing in Paris: Excellent location, acceptable and clean rooms, friendly staff, and the fringe benefits of Marriott status such as free breakfast, lounge access and so on.

I've been to many hotel breakfast - this is BY FAR my favorite breakfast buffet ever. If anyone ever want to win my heart er pocket change, give me good breakfast.

Where do I start: carving station, actual honey comb, charcuterie station, cheese station, yogurt station, pastry station. I can go on. There is also a robotic bus-bot that collects the tray for dishwashing. All this in a spaceious dining room overlooking the beautiful grounds.

The check-in was long. I was told it's to be expected in this hotel. There is a convenience store/cafe and a restaurant onsite and we enjoyed both, but do yourself a favor and step outside, and there are several restaurants to enjoy including French, Italian, Asian - you name it.

We got a room upgrade to 'Chic' room, which is the 2nd step up with regards to room choices. We got a top floor room in an older wing with no city view, so I would recommend for anyone to pick the Eiffel tower view if they can afford it.

This 17th Arr. hotel is close to train stations, and/or if you are okay with long walks (hour+), you can go to the major attractions by the Seine. Arc de Triomphe is only a 20 minute walk.

Would I come back here? Yes. It's not the best Marriott hotel, but it has decent location and the food is top notch.

I'll start with the things that were good:
the staff at check-in, in the lounge, all the housekeepers = well done, it's rare to be surrounded by so many nice people, very polite and very professional.
the buffet breakfast = remarkable, I think there was everything for all tastes
the lounge = buffet, certainly very mediocre but buffet open all day, mediocre but very useful for small snacks.

I had booked a room for 2 people, with an upgrade with my points (I am Platinum elite), in order to ensure a suite (so it is not a free upgrade) being in this hotel for 8 nights with a lot of luggage.

Upgrade accepted. A few hours before checking in, I know what my room number will be via the application.

I arrive at the hotel. I am given another room, and the person even explains to me that it is one of the smallest rooms in their hotel, which is sorry, but they are full.
We ask to speak with the manager, who refuses to come to the front desk and speak to us.
We are promised that our suite will be given to us the next day. Once again, they took my points for this sequel.
I therefore find myself in a 17m2 room with my husband and our 6 pieces of luggage.
Bed with a huge hole in the middle (hole mentioned several times in other comments from other travelers), no coffee maker or kettle (because this room has no place to put one, no toiletries in the bathroom bath.
Only 2 suitcases can be opened but the 2nd only halfway. the others block the front door because there is no room around the bed.

The next morning, they are delighted to tell us that our suite will be ready in the afternoon, we have the room number.
At 4 p.m.... they are sorry, but our room was given to an American couple, whom they upgraded free of charge.
The manager, always either absent or completely lacking the courage to take responsibility for his lack of professionalism or his incompetence.
He refuses our calls, refuses to see us.

The lounge.... so... above all, don't pay extra to have access to it, it's just a shame. all day: a ham cake, a few poor vegetables. Don't imagine that you will be able to have a hearty breakfast or an evening meal, you risk being disappointed.
Don't call the hotel manager....he's...too busy!!

I confirm that they correctly listed the points for the sequel.
Since Marriott is in charge of clearing up the problem. And pay me back.
I still can't explain their 4 stars, because it's absolutely not worth it.

Location of the hotel in Paris... unless you are there for the convention center, just avoid this place. You won't do anything on foot even though normally all of Paris is done on foot. The location of this hotel will force you to take the metro.

The rooms: 17m2 to 21m2 for the largest. A hotel staff explained to us that the rooms had been designed for flight crews coming to spend one or 2 nights max and not sharing their room, hence why they are not expected to allow people to arrive with more of 2 pieces of luggage. And why do all beds have this huge hole in the middle?

So I strongly advise against it for couples and worse.... families with children... strollers etc. .........

I must say, this was one of the best hotel experiences at a Le Meridien hotel ever. I had seen mixed reviews and wanted to share that they must have been anomalies. This place was fantastic. The hotel staff was so pleasant and accommodating, from the front desk at checkin, the bellmen and the restaurant staff. We had an amazing stay. I am a Titanium for Life member and the hotel manager was so gracious to upgrade our room to a suite. It was by far the best room I have ever had in Paris. It had a bedroom, sitting room and a dining area, along with 2 bathrooms. Absolutely stunning. The room was cleaned and bedsheets were changed daily. NO BEDBUGS here! They are very meticulous with thorough cleaning each day and was greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Everything was delicious. A ton of options were offered, even made to order omelets, beautiful selection of breads, fruits, cheese, and I could go on and on. It was truly one of the highlights of each day. The only room for I improvement I would suggest is to raise the level of offerings in the lounge. It was the same every day and minimal selections. It was still a nice place to go for a coffee and a light snack after long days of walking around beautiful Paris. While the hotel is not centered in Paris, it was a fairly quick walk to so,e amazing attractions such as the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees where we had the most amazing shopping experience. I speak a little ‘French and I must say that Parisians are very friendly when you put forth the effort to speak their native tongue. They are respectful and will speak with you in English with ease if needed. We couldn’t have been more happy with our stay.

I was with a group of 44. The hotel is super nice but very small rooms. Liked the separate toilet and the sink. There is a filtered water dispenser and microwave on every floor. Their restaurant/bar is very nice. We had the wagyu cheeseburgers and fries twice- so good!! I enjoyed the 1664 French beer. My friend and I walked to the Arc de Triomphe and then walked to the top- lots of stairs! Lots of cute cafes along the way. A McDonalds right behind the hotel. They sell 2 packs of macaron cookies in cute little cardboard boxes at the register! We did navigate the Metro but took some planning. We were on a tour so mostly rode around in the bus!

I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member, but this property doesn't live up to Marriott Bonvoy standards. We came as part of a tour group, and the Le Meridien Etoile provided a second rate experience. First, as prior reviews have mentioned, the air conditioning in the rooms is almost non-existent and the lobby isn't much better. We even ate lunch at the Hyatt across the street, just so we could cool down. So many people we spoke with at the hotel shared the same experience. This is a known issue that Marriott needs to make the investment in to correct. Second, the mattress in the room was hard, and well past it's useful life, with a pronounced curvature, more like a hammock than a mattress. The towels were thin, like you might get at a public pool. The breakfast was extremely crowded, which you can't fault the hotel for, but they were not replenishing the food to keep up with the demand, resulting in nealy empty tureens of runny scrambled eggs etc. We never had the benefit of housekeeping, because each day they didn't arrive until after 5pm as we were getting ready to go out to dinner, so all we could do was get fresh towels. I had a fantastic experience at the Le Meridien Ft Lauderdale, so I was excited to stay at the LM in Paris. So disappointing! There are much better options. Avoid this hotel.

To get from Paris to Disneyland Paris you need to take the RER A line, the red line, east (ost) to Marne-la-Vallee–Chessy. The bullet stops here too.

We took the RER train to Gare du Nord and then hopped on the Metro. If you're comfortable with public transport, go for it!

You can easily get into central Paris using the train service. RER line B will take you to Chatelet Les Halles, where the metro line 1, direction Defense will take you to Porte Maillot station for the hotel. If I recall the train to metro interchange was quite a walk, so if you’ve got a lot of luggage it’s a taxi from the airport I think. The metro isn’t very welcoming as you get late into the night, so you might also want to avoid that ifyourflightarrives late.

For a meal at the Eiffel Tower I would try a book direct with the restaurant if you go onto the Jules Verne website there is an email address to book. The views are amazing, but it’s expensive. For cruises on the Seine I’d look at Tripadvisor and find one with a lot of positive reviews.
