Booked for a business trip as meeting hotel full. What a find - Room spotless comfortable and quiet while not large size was adequate as was breakfast. Close to some great restaurants and very helpful staff will certainly use again if staying in Paris. Also close to RER from CDG made travel easy and a part of Paris that felt...

There seem to be countless Paris hotels with overly small rooms, bland breakfasts, and malodorous bathrooms. The Hotel Sophie-Germain is a very welcome exception. The decor is attractive throughout, and I was especially impressed by the smart bathroom. Although the lift is tiny, the room itself did not feel claustrophobic; in fact, it was nice and quiet as it was...

We stayed at this hotel for a week in April. The staff is very friendly, professional, and helpful--especially Jacques, who offered excellent suggestions to a couple of Paris newbies. The hotel is on a small, quiet side street in a neighborhood that is generally less busy than the others we visited while there. It makes a nice retreat after a...

I stayed initially for a few days, left for another city and came back for one more night. I thought the room I stayed in initially was small, so was shocked the second one was even smaller. It was so difficult to move around. My knees got a bit of a knocking. My suitcase could barely fit the room. Breakfast...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October as a surprise birthday present. The staff were very kind, the continental breakfast was lovely and the hotel room itself was nice and cosy.. Weird bathroom layout, I initially thought it was just a cupboard. Just perfect for us really. Would definitely stay again! Not too far from local sights...

Having checked out of the Hotel Lion, we were on our way to the airport when my wife had her bag stolen. With the Lion fully booked, the Manager called his friend at the Hotel Sophie Germain, who had one room available. When we arrived, Madame was most solicitous, and did everything to help us as we tried to sort...

Excellent hotel. Nice, clean and quiet. Very well located, not far from Denfert-Rochereau, Alésia, and General Leclerc Avenue Nice employees. Good breakfast. It is our first experience of a later check-out for free!

Thank you for your comment. Depending on our room availability, we always try to accomodate guests who arrive early, or who would like to leave a little bit late. For the days when that is not possible, we have a luggage storage area for your convenience.

This hotel is in a traditional building and the 14th. It is in very good shape, the rooms are nice and typical and size of most Parisian hotels. It is conveniently located within a 5 to 10 minute walk of the M4 and Denfert-Rochereau RER station with an abundant amount of shopping and dining options available in the immediate area....

Thank you for your fine review. We are a family-owned independent hotel, which is why there is such a friendly atmosphere in our establishment. We hope you will choose us again for your next trip to Paris.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
