This is a wonderful hotel! The first thing we noted was the lovely Parisian architecture with individual balconies and flower boxes. The staff could not have been more welcoming, from the doorman to the breakfast staff. Saber was particularly attentive each morning to help us start our day. Breakfast was an array of fresh and dried fruit, cheeses, meats, pancakes, pastries, yogurts, breads, along with made to order eggs of all types soft boiled to omelette and French toast offered one morning. The concierge was most helpful in restaurant recommendations and securing tickets. We also noted how fluent the front desk staff was in transitioning from one language to another (French to English to Russian) Public area decor was tasteful and comfortable. Lots of banquettes and couches. Rooms were quiet and restful with very comfortable beds, and bathrooms gave a bit of luxury to our stay with plush bathrobes and Balmain products. The location of the hotel in the 16th arrondissement was great, with easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and the Trocadero. Boissiere metro stop was just a block away, making transportation very convenient. Do not miss the artisan patisserie nearby. We had a lovely stay at the Sofitel Eiffel Tower and would love to stay there again on our next trip to Paris.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour-Eiffel. The location is prime, being only a 5-10 minute walk away from the Eiffel Tower. We found the front desk service to be kind, perhaps a bit abrupt at times. However, it could be that that's the French way, which is absolutely fine. :)

The daily breakfast was great, offering a variety of pastries, fruit (the kiwi was out of this world), meats, and eggs done your way. The only change I would make is to offer potatoes in addition to the eggs. And a tip about your breakfast coffee: while they will offer regular coffee, which I had most every morning, I found out on our last day that they also offer lattes, cappuccinos, espresso, and etc. for no additional charge. I wish I had known this from Day 1.

There's a small bar, which we visited on our first night there. And because it was Christmas Eve, their only food offerings were sandwiches. The chicken in my sandwich came back uncooked in several places, which I had to spit out. It was an unfortunate experience, and because the bartender was working alone, I didn't want to stress her out further by making a fuss, so I did not say anything about it. (She was lovely and very kind, btw.) Thankfully I didn't get sick.

The main reason I'm docking just 1 star off my review is due to the room size. We had requested a "junior suite," and were given room 612. I'm not sure how large a standard room is, however this "junior suite" was indeed very junior in size. I feel that it would be a standard room at other hotels. Also, the shower in the bathroom was problematic in that it nearly flooded the entire bathroom each time someone took a shower. Not sure what needs to be changed in the design, but we needed to put towels down on the floor every morning due to water being everywhere (and no one in our family is a "wild" bather, lol). Thankfully housekeeping tidied up well every day.

We had a lovely week-long stay at the Sofitel and can recommend to Paris travelers. Thank you for the memories!

This was the best hotel experience we’ve had. All the staff at Sofitel Hotel were so friendly and helpful from the very second we entered.

Their attention to detail is stellar. I had mentioned that we were there celebrating our anniversary and my husband’s graduation so they surprised us with cake, wine and a card in the room. Usually free wine is bad, but this wine was exceptional.

Our room itself was beautiful and clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the balmain shower gel was amazing. Very thankful to the cleaning staff who do such a great job keeping the rooms clean every day.

One of our favorite parts of this hotel was the exceptional breakfast. I have never had such incredible omelette in my life. The coffee was perfect, the pastries were fresh and delicious and they had plenty of healthy options like fruit, yogurts and granola. Big shoutout to the servers who worked at the breakfast. Their service deserves to be acknowledged. They were so nice and paid great attention making sure to clear the plates that were done and to ask us for coffee and eggs.

All the staff who work there were so helpful and nice. It truly made a difference and made us feel so special. We will definitely come back to this hotel again.

A so so experience, mainly let down by the terribly old room we were allocated. I booked a Junior Suite, the room I was allocated (and paid top dollar) was nothing like the images on the website - I understand that the rooms do vary with decor in every hotel - I did call reception to ask if I was in the right room category - no surprise they said yes. I think I had the oldest room in the building, scuffed walls and doors and cabinets - it needs modernisation, this room was facing the internal space - the only upside was that it was super quiet. Housekeeping very inconsistent, of our multi-night stay they did not get our room right once: no bath towels were replaced on day one, only one bath towel on day two and no coffee pods replenished on any other day, we had to call and ask for these every day (same goes for the bottled water) - thats a pretty simple task that was missed every day. Location was good for the tourist spots, easy to access, breakfast was solid, the team that served the breakfast were excellent. I will try a different hotel next time (I travel to Paris a couple of times each year). For what its worth I am a Diamond ALL Accor member.

The staff was very judgy from the moment we arrived. I booked a superior room yet was given a standard room. When I questioned it i was told oh yeah that is a superior room. We are from California so we dress casual and it seemed the Sofitel felt we did not belong.. Obviously we did because we were there paying a premium price for the hotel, but the staff treated other guest more trendy dressed you could say better. The room was extremely small no iron available and shower pressure was low. We needed help finding something for our Disney trip the next day and a staffer behind the check in/out area ignored us totally. Every morning while headed to breakfast we were looked at like why are you still here. Honestly a horrible experience! I expected much better for what I payed... The staff needs to learn to not judge a book by it's cover and treat everyone like a guest in their house... leave their judgment out of it...

We are staying at this hotel for only three nights through Christmas Eve, following the first part of our trip at the Disneyland Hotel. Let me start by saying that this is absolutely not a 5-star hotel. Being very particular about accommodations, I hesitated to book here but ultimately used my American Express points for a Deluxe Room for our family of three. I was reassured by the positive reviews and photos online, but unfortunately, our room does not reflect those images at all.

Although classified as a Deluxe Room, it is far too small for two adults and a teenager. The rollaway bed, intended for the third guest, is cramped into a corner and seems more suitable for a young child. The main bed, while large, takes up nearly the entire room and is situated just a foot away from the door, creating a tight, uncomfortable layout. The room is located directly off the elevator, making it noisy, and feels dark, dingy, and in dire need of updates.

There are numerous issues, including (just to name a few of the most notable):

-Disgustingly dirty and worn carpet
-A stained seating chair
-Heating that works intermittently
-Low water pressure in the shower
-An inoperable phone, requiring us to go to reception to place room service orders or make requests

One of the key perks of booking through the American Express Hotel Collection is the potential for a room upgrade (when available). I asked about this at check-in but was told there were no available rooms. However, I checked online and saw that upgrades were still available and continue to be. While I should not have needed an upgrade, considering I booked a Deluxe Room, the condition and layout of this "Deluxe" make me hesitant to imagine the standard or superior rooms.

Staying in this room during the Christmas holiday has certainly put a damper on our celebration. Based on this experience, I would only recommend booking one of the Eiffel Tower suites—if those match the glowing reviews that led me here. Otherwise, this hotel does not meet the expectations of a true 4-star property and certainly not a 5-star property as advertised.

On a positive note, the staff (outside of the upgrade issue) have been friendly and attentive. The breakfast wait staff and bellman, in particular, provide exceptional service, greeting us with smiles and addressing us by name daily.

We stayed for 4 nights in Room 214. The room was very small and draughty. It was not really big enough for 2 people. The bathroom was minuscule though it did have a separate toilet. The room was so small we had to put a suitcase on top of a table and pile one piece of furniture on top of another!
The room, bedding and bathroom were very clean.
There was a service elevator next to our room which affected our sleep quality due to staff moving with trolleys early in the morning, talking loudly and banging against our bedroom wall. At check out when we described these disturbances and others from noisy guests the member of staff said she would make a note not to put us in this room again …… as if we would return! On one occasion when we left our room a hotel employee was sitting on an abandoned armchair outside our room. Very strange.
Breakfast was average to good. The juice in the fridge was past its best - a fact confirmed separately by my husband. It was starting to go ‘fizzy’. The choice of cereals was limited. My husband who is unable to eat nuts had only one other alternative - cornflakes!
The staff at the hotel are very good and average hotel from all the other problems and irregularities. This is however not a 5 star hotel. 4 star may fit the bill better but even then there are issues. We have stayed in many Sofitel hotels worldwide and this did not match up.

I would like to warmly thank all the teams at the Sofitel Baltimore Tour Eiffel for the welcome extended to me for one night in mid-May 2024.

I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a spacious room with all the amenities worthy of a 5 star as well as a complimentary late checkout.

The location of the Hotel is ideal and accessible five minutes from several metro stations including the Trocadéro and it is not far from the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.

All the teams (reception, luggage storage, customer service) were always attentive and although the stay was short, it was perfect from start to finish!

Thank you again for all !

Matthew C.

1. Hotel (management): the official website is quite misleading and we felt very disappointed about the room(my daughter been longing for an Eiffel Tower view) upon check in. We understand Paris is very full during winter holidays so we paid more by booking directly through the hotel website and we booked two months ago! The room type we booked is the Deluxe Junior Suite, both from its official website and the link we got confirmation email from hotel (as attached photos), it shows the room has Eiffel Tower view … but on the day we checked in we were told the room was not guaranteed to have an Eiffel Tower view (and actually we could not see even the top of the Tower)! So the question is: who is guaranteed then? We paid more for this room type and we booked two months ago already, also why there were no such “ not guaranteed” reminder in the confirmation email? otherwise at least we still had choices for other hotels… My daughter asked me: is It because our surname had any problem that our room was not guaranteed?? Well, let’s leave this question to Sofitel Baltimore management
2. Hotel staff: very friendly and helpful indeed, quick response to every request.
3. BTW, we were changed to another suite the next day (with 9 luggages moved twice hotel room), but the room still not the same as the website shows and we can only see bit of the top of the Eiffel Tower…

Dear Sydney, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay with us. We sincerely regret the disappointment you experienced regarding the room view and the confusion surrounding the Deluxe Junior Suite you booked. Please allow us to address your concerns. First and foremost, we deeply apologize for any misunderstanding caused by the room description on our website or the confirmation email. While we strive to provide clear and accurate information. We also understand the frustration of not having your initial expectations met, especially after booking two months in advance. Please know that room assignments are not based on any personal factors, and we regret that your daughter felt this way. Availability can depend on many variables, but we recognize how important this aspect was for your stay and deeply apologize that we could not provide the view you were hoping for. We are glad to hear that our team was able to move you to another suite the following day, though we regret that it still did not match your expectations. We understand that relocating rooms, especially with nine pieces of luggage, can be a significant inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience throughout this process. On a positive note, we are pleased that you found our staff friendly and responsive during your stay. Providing attentive and helpful service is a top priority, and we are glad this aspect of your experience met your expectations. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will use it to improve both our communication and guest experience. We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide the exceptional experience you deserve. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly if there is anything we can do to assist you further or to discuss your stay in more detail. Kind regards,
