The Hotel Duminy Vendome garners praise for its immaculate rooms, which are often described as modern and well-appointed, though guests have called out their compact size. Its prime location is a highlight for many travelers, offering convenient access to Parisian attractions and quiet streets.
The service at the hotel is generally celebrated for being friendly and accommodating, but some guests feel there's room to enhance responsiveness. While opinions on value vary, with some dissatisfaction over amenities and cost, the inviting atmosphere and the hotel's cleanliness receive consistent commendation.

Detailed Reviews
Great hotel in a great location. The rooms were small, but very nice. There was only one issue, for elderly people the bathtub is very tall and could be difficult to get into. They have rooms with showers, so asking for that type of room if you need access is a good idea. The staff were fantastic and the petit dejeuner was well done. Absolutely would stay here again.

+1
We have been here since a few days back and we have been very happy with the location - close to The Louvre, a short Uber ride to most other attractions, 4 minute walk to Place Vendome (with lots of luxury brands) and close to restaurants.
The room is clean though a little on the small side (unfortunately couldn't get vacancy for a larger room) - could have opted for a room larger than double comfort.
The staff has been ultra helpful. Laura and Mileys at the front desk checked us in seamlessly and have helped us find vegan/vegetarian restaurants, shopping places and were always open to making suggestions for attractions and shopping.
Mamun who mans the desk at night also was very helpful when we came back a couple of times late at night.
Sarah, Alex and Amina were very helpful in the breakfast room. Always serving us with a smile and helping us start our day in a cheerful manner.
A couple of suggestions for improvements
1. A little bit of variety in breakfast would be a big help particularly for someone who stays more than 3/4 nights
2. The small room has heavy duty blankets good for winter weather and needs to keep the temperature in the room really low (like in the high teens) to allow us to use the blankets without feeling hot during the night. Instead, offering a lighter blanket would save on cooling costs too.
Other than these two potential

Newly renovated and good price for such a good location. Its also close to the metro station if you want to go to another location. Staff is very nice and helpfull. The breakfast is good but I wish there was some vegetables or salad. The room we stayed was very small but the floor plan makes each space functional and areas are nicely used and the price makes it acceptable also considering the great location.

Great little hotel in the heart of Paris but on a quiet street. Walking distance to the Louvre, Opera, Champs Elysees, Rue De Rivoli. Very clean, very bright, friendly staff. Rooms are small but very up to date and really great water pressure in the rainfall showerhead in the shower. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband & I spent our wedding anniversary at the Duminy Vendome in January 2003. We immensely enjoyed our time there. The room was Old World Charm, so quaint, lovely, warm & comfortable. The dining area was also so very charming, giving a feeling of dining in little caverns. Staff was fabulous, respectful & friendly. The hotel is very close to the Louvre & so very walkable to many other sites of interest. I remember we walked the Champs Elysee at 1:00 in the morning as if we owned it! Paris was alive with so many people bustling about in shops at that hour & we never felt more excited nor more safe, as Gendarmes were doing their patrols to ensure safety. The streets were always spotlessly cleaned every morning by the sanitation workers at around 5:30 am.
It was very cold that January & Paris actually received a light dusting of snow when we arrived, but we never minded the weather & sat outside at a bistro sipping warm mulled wine with friends.
My husband & I had enjoyed this anniversary trip immensely & had always planned to return, but he passed in 2007. I have this beautiful memory of our time together in Paris & of the Duminy Vendome to warm my heart.

Dear 657patv, What a beautiful memories to share with us. We have been doing full renovation during the Covid-19 period so unfortunately, if you are coming back, you will certainly not recognize the Duminy vendome's hotel as you knew it. Everything is brand new with a very nice atmosphere. Our staff is always ready to help and to give it's best to give you an unforgettable experience! We are truely sorry for the loss of your husband and we hope you can be able to come back one day with a relative to share more memories with us and experience the new Duminy Vendome!

The Duminy Vendome is so well located that during several days in Paris, my wife and I did not need to take the metro and only requested taxis or Ubers on a couple of occasions. Just steps from Rue de Rivoli and the Tuileries, and very close to Place Vendome to the north, the area is filled with restaurants, the Musée d'Orsay is across the Seine, and the Louvre is just a short walk away.
The hotel services are limited. On the bed, there was no top sheet to cover us, only the sheet placed over the mattress and, on top of it, a duvet. We had a hard time explaining that we wanted an extra sheet; then, instead of making the bed, they just left the sheet in the room, and we had to make it ourselves. In the bathroom, which is very small, there were no amenities like those provided in any 4-star hotel. They could be requested at the reception, but they were not available in the room. On the last day of our five-night stay, there was no shower gel or shampoo.
The room is poorly designed. There is ample space between the TV and the work table and, on the other hand, the bed. But the distance between the bed and the bathroom is 30 centimeters. It can certainly be an advantage to have the bathroom close, but not that close 😄.
On the other side of the bed, in the middle of the room, there is a pillar that obstructs the passage. Clearly, those who designed the architecture of that room did not think about the guests.
The breakfast, in the basement of the hotel, was adequate, although the dining room where it is served is completely enclosed, without ventilation and with a lot of resonance for any sound.
The staff is friendly but inept at handling situations they have not anticipated. In the rooms, there is no brochure informing about the hotel’s services. Instead, there is a QR image that supposedly leads to that information online when scanned. For some technical reason, when I scanned that image on my cell phone (which had a SIM card I bought in Italy), the hotel information did not appear, but instead, it showed a dating site (!). When I explained this problem to the man at the reception, showing him my cell phone, and requested a printed brochure with the hotel information, he refused to believe there was a technical problem. Additionally, the hotel did not have that information printed.
Poor in services, with an extraordinary location, and almost always attentive staff, the Duminy Vendome is a good option if you do not expect a hotel that offers more than just a place to stay and have breakfast.

Dear Rtrejo, Thank you for taking the time to write us such a detailed review. We are glad that you could enjoy the perfect location of our establishment and that thanks to that you have been able to fully enjoy your parisian escape. The feedbacks of our guests is very important for us as we always try to improve. Please note that we will remind our houskeeping team to care more about details. Regarding welcoming products they are on demande at the reception as we tend to be as eco-responsible as possible. Next time, don't hesitate to call the reception to request for welcome products to be put in your room every day during the time of your stay. We have often very good comments regarding the breakfast area which is bright even though there are no windows so I'm quite surprise to read that but I guess it's also a matter of taste, moreover, I can certainly assure you we have a ventilation system. We have different types of rooms available in our establishment so maybe you wasn't staying in a category that fits your needs, next time don't hesitate to let us know your preferences and to ask us about the sizes of our rooms in order for us to advise you the best room category for you. One thing I'm sure is that our staff is 100% dedicated to our guests needs and they always do their best to help and have lots of ressources, beside you can read all good comments we receive about them online, and I'm truely sorry if that wasn't enough for you. We can of course print you a brochure in case of technical issues with our QR code. Unfortunately we have no control over what poped up on your phone when trying to scan as it was probably an internet publicity you have clicked on and there is nothing to do with us or the not functionnal QR code so it would be great to not associate our establishment to an internet publicity. When having technical issues we always try with other devices and usually it's working perfectly fine so in that case the problem is certainly coming from your phone and unfortunately there is not much you can do.. We hope to welcome you back in the future.

At first, this hotel presents beautifully. It’s in a good location on a quiet street, but if you are staying more than a few nights, its shortcomings become glaringly evident. The mattress quality is that of a junior bed and feels cheap and lacks support. There are no heated towel bars in the bathroom to dry towels or any clothing you might wash in a sink. There is virtually no surface area in the bathroom to place your articles. Breakfast-depending on how you look at it—is a bit paltry. The scrambled eggs are a mass of yellow “crumbs” and the forks included in the silverware are child size and frustrating to eat with. I had to use a large soup spoon in order to have a mouthful of scrambled eggs. No bananas and a predictable array of rolls and croissants you could get in a train station.
I’ve traveled extensively and when you find yourself grumbling out loud that you don’t like “this” and don’t like “that”, it’s evident you are staying at the wrong hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to others or —return to it myself. Honestly, I will be glad to leave. I’m a bit perplexed at the glowing reviews.

Traveling with 2 teenagers made finding accommodations with at least 3 beds important to us. Hotel Duminy Vendome was one of the few I could find with adjoining (communicating) rooms who would guarantee one room would be converted to 2 twin beds. The rooms were next to one another and accessed by one exterior door opening to a small space where you then entered each room separately. The rooms were larger than I expected and well appointed. The staff was kind and accommodating. The location was central to cafes, metro stops and of course, The Louvre.

This would be 5 stars if my $108 damage deposit was refunded at checkout like it’s stated in their policy. I’ve never been to a hotel that took $108 in advance for damages. Not sure what kind of damages anyone could do in a room (it’s a bed, built in wardrobe, tv, bathroom, desk. What could someone possibly do?
The front desk staff were very professional and very nice. The hotel is clean and in a great shopping and eating area. The hotel guests all seemed to be quiet people (this is not a hotel for parties), so not sure again why this hotel takes $108 and does not return it upon checkout.
The cleaning person was in my room yesterday so clearly if I destroyed the room she would have seen it b
