It was our family's first time in Paris. Had no idea what to expect. Straight from the airport got into the wrong kind of taxi, halfway when we realized how much he was going to charge us,my husband decided that when we got to the hotel, he was going to ask the reception how much the normal fare should be,...

Elysees Union is a modest three star hotel, but the staff is five star. They were very responsive to our needs from the minute we entered the hotel. The management is wise to have Saoussen on the staff. She indeed lights up a room. From walking me to an ATM on her way home to arranging to get us help...

We spent 2 nights here in late August 2012 (2 adults and 2 children), we had requested a room with view of the Eiffel Tower and the hotel had obliged us! We stayed in room 415, it had a king size double and 2 single beds, and a mini bar, which was great for storing our milk and water! Adequate...

I spent hours trawling the internet after being told by the good lady to "book a long weekend in Paris" My first choice was a private rental but I couldn't find anything that fitted the bill and budget. Finding a family room in a hotel in a good location was no easier. But finally I found The Elysee on a...

My boyfriend and I stayed here on an overnight trip to Paris with my mum who was visiting. The hotel is perfectly located in Paris - a ten minute walk to the Champs Elysees and quick ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower (which is visible from the entrance of the hotel). The hotel is a five minute walk to...

Stayed three nights here on our trip to Paris. Convenient place with close proximity to the Arch and Eiffel Tower. In fact we saw the lighted up Eiffel and light show everynight from just outside our Hotel itself. Service was nice and the staff was really helpful. Well recommended...

Perfect location! Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, the metro, and the Champs Elysees, in a quiet part of town with good local restaurants and an awesome patisserie (yum) nearby. We stayed for a week. The staff speaks English and are all very gracious and friendly. It is not brand new by American standards, but well kept, quaint, clean,...

Stayed here at the end of July and it was fantastic. The location is perfect for exploring Paris. (5 minutes to Champs Elysees and 10 minutes to the Eiffel Tower). The Eiffel Tower is visible from the entrance of the hotel. The price was really decent, 3 people in a triple room for 3 nights with breakfast came in at...

I had this hotel booked for over 5 months and had requested a triple renovated room with a view of the eiffel tower. This was for my daughter's bday. I had ready some mixed reviews about the hotel but decided to stay here because of the location. We get there after a long night flight from the US and we...

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
