We stayed at Hotel Lutetia on our last visit to Paris in 2008,so this was quite a come down.It is a quaint hotel. Krystal at the front desk is wonderful she deserves a raise!! Rooms need some updating, but it does have a French decor. You may have your breakfast brought to your room without a charge. That was nice for... More

A few of the hotel staff were helpful (especially a young female desk clerk) when asked about touristy things like directions but one staff member actually made a sour face when asked questions. The room was TINY but when stepping outside the sight of the Eiffel Tower made one forgot square footage. Hotel is conveniently located off the Champs Elysees.... More

Imagine the scene - upon arrival, we found the courtyard of the hotel shrouded in plastic sheeting and scaffolding, and my wife - walking unsteadily only with the aid of crutches - was shown to our room over thin, uneven wooden boarding. Clearly unacceptable. But we did not have to say a word: the female receptionist who showed us the... More

We booked one double and one single. Upon arrival at 10:30am, we were offered a two bedroom, two bath apartment, with kitchen for the same price. Plus, we were able to get in immediately, which was most welcome after our 10-hour flight from the US. You can spend more money for something fancier, but why would you? How much time... More

It's all about location and this hotel has it in spades. My family and I spent four nights here on a mini-vacation to Paris and came away satisfied. We loved the fact that the hotel was only a block from the Boissiere Metro station for those quick getaways around Paris. We loved the fact that the hotel is only a... More

This was a good hotel. I stayed here for 3 nights for business earlier this month and was happy with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and polite (they spoke English as well as French) and I felt welcome from start to finish. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was pleasant, but the bedroom was rather small. There... More

We just returned from a week in Paris, France: 2 adults and 2 children ages 13 and 10. Stayed 5 nights in the Hotel Elysees Union. The Good: Location. 10 min walk from the Arc de triumph, and you can see the Eiffel tower right from the hotel entrance. We were able to watch the nightly light show standing outside... More

Spent 6 nights in April for our belated honeymoon. Location was super - walked to Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower; steps to metro. Nice and quiet - we were at the end of the hallway on the courtyard side of the hotel. Small room (as expected), but we were only there to sleep. Great breakfast (miss that coffee!) of... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in March. We had a great stay.We had the 2 bedroom for a family of 5 and the room was very large and had an excellent kitchenette with washer/dryer. The breakfast is fantastic, with the most delicious croissants. Staff are extremely nice and helpful and we would definately stay here again. Hotel is located... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
