My children stayed at this hotel with an organised group. They were not given their deposit back for the room having been told that they had taken something out of the minibar - WHICH THEY COMPLETELY DENY!!!!! A total of 45 euros taken from three children, for each of the rooms that were accused.

Our room was very small (hardly any room for us as well as the two suitcases) and the fittings and decor were very tired. But this was Paris and we were at the end of a Cosmos coach tour. It didn't help that there were major road works outside which disrupted traffic and made getting about on foot a challenge....

We were in Rm. 643 which was small and had a good view. You need to expect small rooms in Paris and this did not disappoint. The elevators are under construction but are functioning slowly. There is massive road construction right outside the hotel (for rail expansion) so be careful walking or you could get hurt. The metro station is...

This hotel was awful...not the 3 star it had been billed as...the rooms were not very clean, the towels had to 20 years old and the food was mediocre at best. The wait staff bordered on rude! There was only ONE working elevator which was corralled by a tour group the morning we were leaving......my husband had to carry our...

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Cosmos tour. So much construction outside, that we had to walk through dirt and rocks to get from tour bus to hotel for which I understand that the hotel is not at fault here. It just started everything off wrong. The hotel room was very small, which I expected for Paris,...

Hotel was clean, paint was chipping, rooms were small but cleaned to perfection every single morning. Some of the rooms had camp beds in them and most of the planks broke but they still gave us our security deposit back :) Breakfast was no thrills but fresh and a buffet so you could have as much as you wanted. Most...

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in in Europe. Towels were stained and upon requesting clean towels I received more stained towels. Paint peeling off walls. Cracked toilet seat and the bath was all chipped. No room to put luggage. Asked for a twin room and had one double bed. Some staff were nice however overall the staff were extremely rude...

I stayed here as part of a tour group to Paris, location is ok but rooms are old, basic and beds are squeaky! They also had a mix up in allocating us a room and we found some stranger in our room a few hours later after returning from an evening tour! Reception were not very helpful even though it...

I have chosen this hotel considering mainly location in the 11th District, which was very convenient for my meetings agenda. But apart of this one element, all other I have found much below my expectations. This is typical night shelter, without any personal touch. The carpets, furnitures, bed sheets, towels, everything is very tired. The breakfast is served in the...

The service let this hotel down for us. Admittedly, there were a couple of great staff who were helpful, but the rest were rude and not overly keen to be of assistance. Bathroom in room seemed dirty and dusty, paint peeling, lifts VERY slow. Our friends in another room were missing a tap from the bathroom sink (?!), and another...

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
