The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small
gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

In agreement with others' responses above, they will certainly hold your luggage until your check in time which leaves you free to get a feel for the area. There is a Monoprix on the corner of rue Daguerre and ave du General Leclerc that is handy for getting the necessities you didn't pack in your carry on, and you can grab quick bites for breakfast if you don't want to take a seat at one of the cafes on rue Daguerre. Go take a walk around the Cimetiere du Montparnasse to get your land legs back and then take the super speedy elevator to the top of the Montparnasse Tower to get a lay of the land for all of Paris.
