First the good points. The hotel is in an excellent location, and within a short walk of the St Paul Metro station, with lots of street café's, bars and banks in the vicinity. The hotel provides free wifi which worked well and was quite quick. The superior rooms include a better quality bathroom, shower robes and a kettle. The bed...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days in August 2016. The location is great situated in the Marais district and close to 2 metro stops. We walked most places but to get too the Eiffel Tower quickly take the number 69 bus that stops right across the street from the hotel. The room was small which is the norm...

I tell people that are just visiting Paris for a week or less to find a conveniently located, comfortable, clean hotel that you can expect to just shower and sleep in. This is perfect for that. (although my girlfriend thought the walls were a little too thin). The location is great for getting to all the major sight-seeing attractions and...

This hotel came with strong recommendation from five different families who stayed here. I join their ranks. This hotel is located on a great street and in an interesting neighborhood. Close to great family eateries in the Jewish quarter and only a five minute downhill walk to the old city and Notre Dame. Sits close to two Metro stations and...

AC. 5th floor have balconies - always ask for 502 or 503 or 504 - facing the street. Excellent service. Everything you could want. Owner is very kind. Staff is helpful and speak English...

Hotel Paris Rivoli was perfect for my recent business trip (with a little personal time mixed in.) I needed something well priced that fit within my company's guidelines, which is hard to come by in an expensive city like Paris. Hotel Paris Rivoli was the very best option for the budget. The Trip Advisor reviews convinced me and I was...

Sensibly rated at 3 stars. Staff exceptionally pleasant. The balconies are the big draw here, ask for a North-facing room on a high floor. We asked to be moved from #502 (too small for two people) next door to #503 which featured a pair of French doors opening to a balcony set with café table and chairs and views up...

I love this hotel; yes the rooms are small...typical European rooms. The bathrooms have been updated and are quite nice and roomy...not large but roomy. Love the rooms on the front to watch the bustling of the neighborhood. Good windows to cut out the noise but if you are very sensitive to sounds then ask for a room on the...

The hotel was in a good central area. metro was very close, 1-2 min walk with taxi also outside the metro station. The rooms were small, classic for Paris, bathroom was renovated, so it was new and clean. Breakfast was very very basic, I do not recomend. Finally the staff was very helpfull and pleasant.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
