We stayed at Hotel Verlain for a week in September when we were doing a week long business program at the ESCP. Very convenient to walk less than a block to the school. Great eating joints nearby. The hotel serves a nice buffet breakfast with fresh croissants, fruits, eggs, yogurt and beverages. The rooms were a little small, but OK...

The first night I stayed I wasn't sure I would remain. The room did not smell good, it had a mildew odor and (since I checked in late) I just lived with it. But I packed up and took my bags downstairs the next morning to request a new room. They didn't budge on making me wait for my new...

The sweetest little hotel, all refurbished and in a neat night life area. Restaurants are plentiful and excellent. The chinese take away across the street was amazing, the soups of your choice were made to order. I would stay there again.

My husband and I loved this hotel, even though it has small rooms, they are very clean and has a comfortable bed with soundproof windows. The metro is right at the corner in a neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and cafes. There is even one Carrefour (supermarket) at the corner and a convenience store right in front of the hotel...

Service: Reception staff were pleasant but not overly friendly (although spoke good English). Room: Modern furnishings but space is tiny – you could barely open your suitcase (if staying more than one night it can be annoying to keep your suitcases closed or if you had two large bags you would struggle to find floor space for them). Overall cleaned...

The room is quite small, but that's normal for Paris. This hotel does have A/C, which I understand is hard to find. It's far from all the attractions, but there's a metro stop right across the street. It's also in a safe neighborhood, so coming and going late at night wasn't a problem. Overall, it was a nice hotel for...

Very good location – not so central, but close to the metro. Nice and clean room (5th floor has cute balconies), nice breakfast, some grocery stores, bars and restaurants very close by. Probably would stay again.

The hotel was very small, and we almost missed it. The neighbor hood is a bit rundown, but has local character, which I enjoy. The front desk people were more than helpful, especially Olivier, and he remembered us and would ask if we needed help finding anything that day. The room was also very small -I call it cozy. There...

I just checked out of this hotel and it was ok. Nothing to rave about. It does the job. The location is good, there are lots of funky little bars and restaurants around so it's worth exploring the area. The metro is super close so that makes it really fantastic for getting around the city. The people at the front...

The hotel staff was very helpful. David at the front desk was very welcoming and we enjoyed his humor. It is such a convenient area. The metro is a couple of blocks away. The area is full of bars and restaurants. Not a tourist area, you are in a Parisian neighborhood. The hotel had an elevator that I was not...
