The Hotel Aiglon is idealy located in the heart of Montparnasse, the famous artist’s district of Paris. The picturesque neighbourhood with its art studios and cafes is a wonderful place to be on a Paris city break. This splendid hotel of 46 rooms has recently refurbished the building, the lobby, the library, the breakfast room and most of the rooms in the spririt of the twenties, with wonderfull mosaic (in the bathroom and at the entrance of the hotel), nice cutains and wallpaper for an intimate and warm atmosphere.

We took a family room that has a bedroom with double bed and a room with a double fold out sofa. The two kids on the sofa found it too springy and woke each other up when they turned over in the night. But otherwise the hotel is great. Rooms are very clean and air conditioned. Staff is extremely helpful. They allowed us a late checkout on Sunday that gave us the entire day for only a very small fee. EAsy access everywhere from Raspail Metro and nearby great food options on rue de la Gaite.

3 lovely days in Paris with the family :) For us, it was really worth checking the hotel's website for special offers and packages, far more convenient than booking.com rates. The breakfast room is very beautiful and sunny, perfect to begin a beautiful day in Paris with a really excellent breakfast, so think of including breakfast, it's really worth it!

Thank you Illowitsch for making the right choice to book on our website. Indeed the best rates and flexibility are on the Hotel's website. We are delighted to read that you have enjoyed our breakfast : We consider breakfast to be a particularly important part of the day that requires peace and quiet. We offer a large buffet, we have selected for you fresh and quality products bought in the shops of our neighborhood, preferably organic: Fresh seasonal fruit, breads, pastries and cakes from our local artisan baker, mature cheeses from the Baillevaire boutique. And also the artisanal jams from "La Chambre aux Confitures", a fresh seasonal fruit salad, charcuterie and salmon... and our selection of Kodama teas and infusions. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again very soon. Sincerely

Very close to the Raspail metro station, this hotel is located close to restaurants and bakeries. The desk people were extemely helpful, the receptionist taking the time to explain and draw directions to the sites in Paris that we wanted to see. The upper floors on the cemetery side have great views. The rooms are a bit small but clean and organized with free drinks, coffee and snacks. Wine is available to purchase. The room was hot at night. This was the only negative for us. It is 20 - 30 minute walk to sites like the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, the Seinne, Ste. Chappel and a 10 minute walk to the catacombs.

On the positive side, this hotel is extremely conveniently located , close to the metro and with many restaurants on either side of the street. You can practically walk anywhere from the hotel. On the negative side, everything is very small, which is to be expected in Paris , but the hotel rooms are in need of renovation, it gives you a feeling of not being entirely clean. The hotel staff is attentive but not overly friendly. if you are not very demanding, then it is the hotel to stay.

Stayed here recently for a rugby World Cup game. Was originally booked into the L’esperence hotel which is a sister hotel. The hotel group contacted us the day before arrival to let us know there was an issue at the hotel and that they moved us (group of 3) to the Aiglon hotel which was not far from the original location. The hotel staff made it so easy us, contacted us to make sure we were happy and to ensure all of our needs were met prior to arrival. The staff were so accomodating and friendly.

The location in fantastic, 60 second walk from Raspail metro station so really easy to get around. Lots of nice bars and restaurants in the area and of course lots of amazing boulongerie’s.

The room was beyond expectations, more like a suite. 2 bathrooms, a living area with a pull out bed and a master bedroom. All very well decorated. Each room had a balcony with great views of the area.

Can’t thank the staff enough for their hospitality. Excellent

We were looking for a hotel for one night close to Montparnasse railway station. Hotel Aiglon fit the bill perfectly. You can make the walk to the station in 10 minutes even with suitcases (try Bakery Odessa on the way if you need some food on the train). The hotel is also conveniently located on a Metro Station that brings you to the Eiffel Tower (should you want to go there). Within a ten minutes walk you are in the middle of the chic Saint Germain de Pres district with lots of choices for restaurants, bars, galleries and shops. The rooms are small but tastefully decorated (as was the rest of the hotel). Hot water comes with pressure, everything is clean. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast, so we cannot comment on this, but the breakfast salon on the first floor looked very nice. First filling of the minibar was free (which the kids enjoyed immensely). Traffic was noisy, but hey, it’s Paris. I am sure there are thousands of more impressive hotels in Paris, but if you look how insanely overpriced most of them are, well, Hotel Aiglon is not.

Lovely hotel in fantastic location, metro opposite, lots of restaurants in the area.
The hotel itself is clean with nice decor.

We spent 3 nights and booked a family suit for our family of 4. When we arrived, we were allocated a room on the top floor. The windows were tiny and located high so I couldn’t even look out the window. I was disappointed about this because I specifically requested a room with a lovely Parisian view.
After seeing the room, I enquired at the reception from a female staff wether we could change the room as it was dark with no view and she flatly refused, saying all the family rooms are the same. She clearly had no intention of helping or simply just couldn’t be bothered.

The following day I tried again, this time a young man called Julien. And I’m so pleased I did! Julien was the most helpful and professional member of staff , and he immediately looked into the matter and found us a beautiful room with gorgeous French windows and lots of light. This really meant so much to me!
I would also like to point out that nothing was too much trouble for Julien, he attended our every request in the most professional manner, and really made our holiday even more luxurious.

I can’t say the same about the female staff member (I believe a manager) , who really couldn’t care less, and this is the reason for the 4star.

Dear Madam or Sir, We would like to sincerely thank you for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate you taking the time to share your impressions. It has been a real pleasure to welcome you and we are delighted to read that you have thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. We are sorry if you felt disappointed with your initial room. The hotel is actually classified due to its historical and cultural significance. This means that we are not allowed to change its structural layout and this includes the last floor, the attic of the hotel. Rooms on this floor still possess the same equipment as the rest, although the windows are indeed shorter. We are happy to change you rooms depending on availability. Thank you very much for mentioning our colleague Julien, who was glad to assist you during your stay. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in Hôtel Aiglon. See you very soon. Kind regards, Paul Front Desk Team

We decided to stay in this hotel for our last night in Paris. We wanted to stay in the Montparnasse area due to the easy accessibility to Orly airport. I did not want to deal with the headache of Paris traffic in the morning.

I wish could have stayed in this hotel longer. The room was a great size and we had ample closet space. We especially loved how the windows opened up to a nice little balcony. We had a king size bed it was quite comfortable.

When you walk into the main lobby, it smells clean and relaxed me immediately. The front desk staff was very courteous and patient. There were daily newspapers and chilled water upon our arrival.

It was a lovely hotel to wrap up an excellent trip. Our last night in Paris was a great experience and I am glad we stayed here.

Stayed twice due to proximity to Montparnasse station. Nice location although a bit touristy yet as you move away you get closer to charming St Germain des Pres and the nicer areas of the Left Bank of Paris. It seems understaffed. First time around we were given a nice large corner room. Second time we got a small standard room which was a bit tight. They have a courtesy mini bar fridge which is a nice touch. No real luxury but convenient.

I always stay in the 14th but hadn’t been to the Aiglon in years as I usually stay a bit closer to Denfert Rocherau but I will be coming back here. They only had their smallest room available when I booked but for one person it was fine (I’d definitely go bigger for two and probably just for myself ne to time I visit). The room was lovely a clean with a great bathroom, they updated a few years back and it shows. Comfortable bed and really quiet. My room was overlooking Montparnasse cemetery so views over treetops. As a bonus there’s a kettle and coffee machine plus a minibar that you can empty once and you only get charged if you then take the refills - still & sparkling water, granola bar, crisps, orange juice and a beer! The staff were very pleasant too. Overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

I had some confusion with my travel companions already in Paris, so I had two rides. I went with private car which was $180. I had also called star shuttle and the driver was there in the airport to greet me with a fixed $55 charge. My friend took star shuttle to Hotel Aiglon and was very happy with it. I will use them in the future. It depends on your budget.
