The hostel was exactly as you would expect it: in a central area of Paris, extremely cheap, with a nice free breakfast and a 24-h door policy; no special conforts: bathrooms and showers in common, no bar, no fancy stuff. But for this price, I mean, it's just good.

I stayed here for a night and wished I could stay longer (because Paris!). The location was convenient, not far from the metro. It felt pretty safe too. Despite being advertised as basic, I think it's quite nice. I stayed in a female dorm, four double decker beds, and the room was quite spacious. Downside is you have to pay...

BVJ OPERA-MONTMARTRE is perfect for a quiet place to stay in Paris as a solo traveler. The one thing I found annoying was that you had to pay for wifi every 24hrs and share keys with everyone in the room, but location and staff are great : just near by the Opera-Garnier and Montmartre district with Sacré-Coeur, Pigalle and Moulin...

Great historical house of a famous Parisian actress of 18th century. Beautiful inside and convenient location in central Paris, walking distance to all Parisian amendments. Very clean and spacious place.

The staff is warm and accommodating, and the manager, Hamid, is always ready to give a helping hand. I had set myself up to taking it easy and just getting lost in Paris. They have been very accommodating in helping me get to know the City. And staying in a historic building is of course, a plus! 😊

I went to Paris because of work and this hostel was perfect: simple, cheap and quite for my days there. It's well located (near to Le Sacre Coeur and -at least- 2 subway stations), breakfast is good enough and there is no curfew. Regarding rooms, I paid for a shared one (10 persons) but that was no problem, the room...

Overall, this was an excellent hostel! Generally, I don't expect hostels to be the best places ever, so this was awesome by hostel standards. The beds are relatively comfortable (bunk style), there are plenty of outlets, and the rooms can be separated by gender. Almost everyone speaks decent English and give good recommendations. The inside is also GORGEOUS. The bathrooms...

It's one of the most wonderful hostel that I have visited. And it's location is very awesome, in the middle of Paris. Don't miss to visit it when you are in Paris... It's really amazing. The service is good and the free breakfast is so tasty and I really love it. When you go to Bvj Paris Louvre, you will...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
