Location is probably one of the best in Paris and staff was professional and helpful....but the room was extra small with less than adequate equipment and breakfast was poor. Overall, the quality to price ratio was less than satisfactory.

The staff was amazing! They helped with everything we could have imagined and were definitely a difference maker for our stay in Paris. Great restaurant recommendations, taxi's, and an umbrella for a rainy day. Saint Germain is THE place to stay in Paris and this hotel is right in the middle of what you need to see.

This hotel was very centrally located - right off St. Germain and near 2 metros so it was very easy to travel around the city. It is a short distance from the Seine - perfect for a stroll or morning run. Also close to the Louvre. The outside was picture perfect and located on a quiet and safe street -...

i'm hesitant to give only 3 stars since i strangely liked the hotel in the end but only after we we're moved out of the horrible room 022. the staff was nice, the location is good for tourists, but the room was really horrible. no full length mirror, broken door, ground floor, dark, super small even by french hotel standards,...

Very good location. but very small and old rooms! They are staffed on each floor and their doors are tiny! Also the breakfast isn't worth its money! The staff though was very friendly and willing to give any further information! It is very good that the breakfast hours are up to 11 am.

The Hotel Saint Thomas D'Aquin is an authentic Parisian hotel complete with flowers in the window boxes and an original small elevator to help get luggage to your floor. Conveniently located just a few blocks off of the Seine and close to Rue de St. Germain this hotel puts you in the center of everything. The staff was excellent and...

A very reasonable boutique hotel for a reasonable price. Well located in a quiet street, it was easy walking distance from the Metro, the Seine and many tourist attractions. Although the hotel is a little tired, I think this perhaps adds to the authenticity of the Parisian experience. Staff were helpful and kind. In-house breakfast, for which we paid extra,...

Enjoyable sty in quiet back street hotel in Pairs, easy walk to Metro and thence to Airport, Main train stations etc, and good walk to a conference at the Maison de la Chimie. Easy walk to the restaurants around, which are good, breakfast taken in cafe near to the conference center.

Other than the location, which is one of the best features, we really like the staff. I come to Paris every year for business, stay in really some nice places (like the Trianon in Versailles) provided by my client, but always spend a few days here to enjoy our favorite part of Paris, the 6th Arrondisement. The staff all know...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
