Stayed at the Hotel Bonaparte with my daughter for five nights as a graduation trip. We stayed in the Classic Twin room. I chose this hotel as it was recommended in a guide book and the price was good, and I typically like to stay in the 5ème or the 6ème when in Paris. I would say the PROS for the hotel are the staff as they were fabulous. Always friendly and pleasant and informative. I also liked that there was always someone at the desk and they took your key when you left and gave it back to you when you returned, which gave me a sense of security. Finally, if you like to shop, this is the location for you as there is shopping galore right outside your door. Oh, and the self-serve coffee maker in the lobby was perfect! The CONS would be that the room was very small and very dark, and while there was a small table and chairs at the window, they were hard to access due to such limited space. Also, the view out the window, which was considered a courtyard, was really just looking directly at another building. If you stay at this hotel, I would definitely recommend that you splurge a bit and get a room with a balcony or a room overlooking the street. Those rooms seemed to be much brighter when I got a peek of them when walking down the hall.

+ Triple room is spacious by Parisian standards. High ceilings. Historic building. The location is very good for exploring central Paris.
- Furniture and carpets in the room were shabby and torn. Bathroom non existent, about 3 square-meters, with no baseboard, so water flowing freely into the room. Hotel corridors bleak. Rue Bonaparte facing room was quite noisy.
All in all: it's not a nightmare, but I would suggest to look at Hotel Albe or Hotel College de France if you aim for the Left Bank, alternatively check Hotel des Arts Montmartre – you could get so much more in the same price range.

This small hotel is in an old building in a very accessible part of the city (2 metro stops nearby). It feels like old Paris (narrow building, tiny elevator, unique floor plans throughout), so much more interesting than a chain hotel. It has been continuously operated by the same family for four generations so they're doing something right. The hotel has been recently updated in decor, and we found it welcoming and comfortable. We stayed on 6th floor with large windows, quiet sleeping in good bed, fluffy towels, Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Fredrick. Optional breakfast buffet was satisfactory if not hearty, and the warm beverage station 24 hours a day was welcome on chilly days. There is a comfy lounge area to sit with tea and a book overlooking a neighbor's garden. Short walk to supermarket, restaurants and cafes. We would stay here again.

It’s the first time we are visiting Paris, and on the first day, we blew a fuse in our room. The staff were helpful and the manager fixed the problem and gave us helpful tips about facilities we can use and how to get around the city safely. If I ever come back to Paris, this is where I’d stay!

This hotel provided a one to one service with the guests. They have unlimited hot beverages through out the day at no additional cost. The rooms are fairly big, and very comfortable to fit two/ three. The location is also ideal and quite safe. Would highly recommend Hotel Bonaparte!! Special mention to Fredrick!

The location was very nice for exploring central Paris and the rooms pretty spacious. But the carpets were a little old and the bathroom very small. It can also be a little noisy, depending on where your room is located. Also keep in mind that the elevator is very small and the stairs a little steep. Overall a good hotel for the price.

I was a little surprised at some of the negative reviews. The hotel is very easy to get to from Gare de Nord, reception very helpful and the room very comfortable - all for a reasonable price for an all but city centre hotel. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Our daughters 3 bed room was good although the shower head was loose. We had this hotel recommended to us and I will be recommending it to others.

Hotel Bonaparte Park Plaza is a very nice bed and breakfast boutique hotel with an old world charm in a beautiful tree lined neighborhood of Santiago. The rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant is good and there is a nice small pool. The hotel staff could not have been more courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for its location and service.

We have stayed here several times before and the refurbished room this time was especially nice. Plenty of room for the queen bed and storage. Really nice bathroom. Fairly quiet for Paris and located very close to St. Sulpice Church. Pierre Hermé pastries just across the street. Easy access to metro and buses and by foot to many places of interest. Good breakfast coffee but could use some juice, toast, butter and jam instead of just cookies. Overall very good value.

Wow, what a great experience. Arrived without a UK converter plug. One borrowed from reception. Bought a bottle of wine but no corkscrew. Wine opened and two lovely wine glasses provided. Room serviced daily. Lost sunglasses now found and being dispatched.

As for location, perfect for being in the centre of the places you'll want to visit.

Overall the hotel could not have done more to help us, always with a cheery bonjour in the morning.

Thanks so much for a lovely stay. I can understand why your family has remained with this business for over 4 generations.

Cheers!

What is their e-mail address ?
Answer from Lexizmom

You might be able to use Skype minutes or Viber minutes to call them, which maybe cheaper than calling from a landline phone. or call your credit card company and verify with them that the charge went through. Frankly, if they have charged your card for the reservation, isn't it worth a few dollars to call and confirm that you are all set rather than stress out over it? I believe they use a third-party reservation system and I did not have an email contact for them. It is a small hotel and a small reception desk. Also, if you are a Platinum Amex member, the travel concierge may be able to contact them for you. That is how we learned about the hotel in the first place.
