This place is excellent value for money. Though the front desk and exterior look a little shabby the rooms are great. Our room was huge with a very comfortble bed and everything was really clean. Loved it and the little patissirie (spell?) across the road was lovely and cheap for breakfast each day. For the price I really doubt you'll...

Not a fan of hostels, but this place is very very simple. The doors slam shut so I was woken up several times, and it's not in the best neighborhood at night/when it's dark; however, for the price, it's location is phenominal. A ten minute walk from Notre Dame, a fifteen minute walk from the Louvre/Sienne....the MAN DID NOT SPEAK...

Tell you the truth, I struggle between whether or not to write a review, in case the price will go up if everyone starts pouring into this hotel. When I was planning my trip and my friend suggested this hotel, which is located in the city AND priced less than 100euro, I cannot believe my ear! I have been searching...

We were very pleasantly surprised by our cheap and cheerful hotel in Paris. We booked cos it was at the right end of our budget, and close to our great list of places to eat. The Tiquetonne ticked all the boxes for us..... Clean, good hot shower, fresh towels daily, perectly located, and most important .... Quiet. Rue Tiquetonne is...

Comfort, clean and well-located hotel As the title says - small and nice hotel in the heart of Paris; Very good location - from hotel to almost any famous location is about 10-15 minutes on foot; The frendly stuff - some of them speak English; Very clean room; Double bed is a bit short and room is a bit small,...

Petite, but not clean. If you are on a budget and don't care for lots of amenities and are just looking for a place to shower and sleep, then this is the place for you. The staff was very nice, though it helped that I spoke some broken French. The internet is free, but spotty in the bedroom. It was...

Given average hotel rates in Paris, this is a very appealing option. The hotel is incredibly central and yet not at all expensive. Having been quoted a room at a very decent price, I was expecting something tiny, but there was plenty of space. There's nothing modern about the place, but that is part of its charm. If you're looking...

Well, I suppose it is. As old fashioned as Edith Piaf, the Eiffel Tower or Steak Frites. I've known this hotel for a decade and a half. The only reason I stay elsewhere is the occasional lack of rooms, and nowhere else can compete on price, or on unselfconscious charm. It has been a family run business for generations and...

An inexpensive Paris hotel in a formerly seedy, now charming area ( still seedy on St Denis nearby) with a friendly staff. The room was surprisingly large and comfortable. Breakfast brought up to the room was a treat. There are excellent restaurants and bars nearby but therefore street noise late at night. It's close to the metro and within walking...

I stayed here with my daughter and two friends, we had two rooms, each with bathrooms, and at the time of our trip the rooms were 59 euros/night. A bit of French is necessary, and they don't have online reservations so you have to telephone (sometimes several times) to get the proper person with whom to make the reservations. But...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
