This was a great place to stay! Our first night we ended up in a private triple room-I would not recommend any room that has a bathroom included. The bathrooms leave everything to be desired and our room smelled rank, especially after we showered. Fortunately, the hostel had made a mistake and in the end they ended up putting us...

This is the cheapest hostel in Paris. It is near Bastille, 2 minutes walking from Ledru-rollin subway station and close to two good supermarkets. I have payed 15 euros per day in may, including breakfast! Breakfast is very simple, but for this price for me it was very nice (small baguette, butter, jam and a cup of coffee or hot...

I've only stayed at this one hostel, so I cannot compare it with others in Paris or Europe. But after hearing all the hostel horror stories, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with my stay. I will probably stay here again next time I am in the city. When I first arrived (around 2pm), all of the AIJ rooms were...

I was a bit uneasy about booking this hostel because I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for (and it is the cheapest hostel in Paris, so I wasn't expecting much), but I was very pleasantly surprised! Staff: They all know the area and can help you get around, figure out bus stops etc. about half the...

I stayed here for 6 days at the start of a three month stay in Paris. I was greeted with really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere where people generally were chilling out and eating their dinners as drinking was allowed and they had a microwave. The best part of this hostel was its prime location, and the hostel is...

This is the cheapest hostel you'll find in Paris; for 15 euros you get a bed in a 4p dorm with free I-don't-think-these-have-been-washed-before sheets and a basic breakfast (bread, butter, and hot drinks). If you're looking for social life, this is not your place. Location is really good, metro stop right around the corner and close to cheap markets, phone...

This is a great hostel with a wonderful situation -- very central and very cheap ! Having stayed in some pretty dire hostels in my time, some of them in Paris, I was surprised to see such negative ratings for this place. It's basic but proper and clean, and really very friendly. The staff are lovely and I had no...

It's disappointing to read several unfavourable reviews about this place. My partner and I stayed here at the end of a long European holiday (after a recommendation from a friend), and we found the place excellent for the price. Breakfast is basic, but honestly, what do you expect for 15 euros a night?! Ironically, more expensive places often serve something...

We are a finnish family (children 11 and 13 years) and we stayed at Auberge Internationale des Jeunes 24.-27.3.2007. Ibooked our stay by e-mail and paid one night beforehand. The hostel had an excellent location. We had a room for 4 (one bunk bed on the ground floor and one on the second floor)with own toilet and shower.Hot water was...

I'm a bit surprised to read that many bad reviews. Maybe I was just lucky the night I spent there. First, every place in the hostel was pretty clean to me, including the showers/bathrooms. Had no hot water problem there, I didn't even remember the "push" button. Had a 3 people room to share with a German and a Brasilian...
